What I tend to do is, Skip the first fight (The one as you exit the base), because the enemies don't even attack you. Let the Marine kill the Snipers in the next area. Once there dead, give the passenger Marine a Sniper. Kill the next Sniper in the Sniper Tower. Stay in the Warthog for all these fights and let the Marine on the Gun and the passenger kill your enemies. Once you arrive at the next fight. Which has a Brute with a Fuel Rod Gun. Just strafe with the Warthog while your marines kill everyone.
Give your passenger the Fuel Rod Gun and take the Sniper for your own. For the next area, I snipe the Brute that is directly across from the entrance to the area. BR all the Grunts then get back in the Hog. There is a rock in the middle of this area and if you position yourself properly, the Marines should kill everyone and you take no damage at all.

Sounds almost identical to what I did when doing regular Legendary. Although when I did it I took the Troop 'hog and ended up with 3 or 4 Beam Rifle wielding marines in the back and one with a Fuel Rod Gun in the front. It was interesting to say the least. :-)

Also do you possibly have a screenshot or video of this rock? Or am I right to think it's the one which has a Shade Turret on it?

Its not that rock. You can have a look on my Tsavo Highway video from my File Share. I use this rock and It also shows how to position yourself.

Thanks, I'll have a look ASAP. One other thing though; what am I goign to do about the other two Wraiths just before the Brute Blockade (assuming I've already hijacked one of the three)?

Boost straight up to the blockade. There are Human weapons on the floor, if you stay in front of them, the Wraiths do not attack you.

Got it. If I recall correctly there are BRs and a Sniper Rifle to the right of the road near a drop pod. Then simply Wraith > Brutes and mission complete.

Yep, I think there is a Shotgun aswell. Once in the final area, take out the Shade first as well. Also, stay back and take them out. I made the mistake on my first time of reaching that area of getting close and dying because of the Chieftan at the end.

Yeah, I'm not keen on Chieftains with turrets. I'll bomb the Shade then pick off the Brutes with jump-packs before they get too close.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

I'd still recommend taking out all three like in my walkthrough. Yes, you can hop into one and boost your way up there, but it's rather risky. If the other Wraith on the ground spots you, it'll start lobbing mortar your way before you get a chance to boost. And since getting out of a Wraith isn't exactly a speedy process, you're done for.

Even if you do manage to boost your way up to the blockade, the other two Wraiths will eventually make their way to the bridge. Sure, if you're up far enough (very far) they won't attack you, but you also lose your ability to back up if either berserking or jump-jet Brutes attempt to board your vehicle. Keep in mind that once they board, you can't exit the Wraith. You'll also be within shooting distance of the Brute shot-wield Brutes which can in fact damage your vehicle and you in the process.

Basically, my way seems to be the safest in the long run and it was the same method used in the Quad-Mythic run as well. Kill the Wraiths, then deal with the blockade.

Man Tyrant, Heroic one day, Legendary another. Make up your mind.

Anyway, When I boosted up to the blockade, after I had cleared majority of the Brutes. I turned around and saw a Wraith just hanging around at the same place I jacked the other one from. I tend to push forward straight away and kill as many as I can. Then when they start rushing I backed up and had plenty of space.
Anyway MATCLAN, its up too you with which ever method you choose.

Also, Tyrant`s method isn`t exactly simple. I tried it on normal solo lege and it took a lot of deaths to get right. I`ll still do it when I get to Tsavo, though, since I have done it before and I don`t like rushing. Too risky, hate dying.

Thanks for all the ideas guys, they make me think which is a good thing. I've got a feeling I'm gonna end up improvising and mixing a few different things together like I did with Halo, Cortana & The Storm (speaking of which, thanks for the idea of rusjing through Factory B jew man man).
Anyway seeing as Tyrant mentions the walkthrough it reminds me it's there. I haven't looked at the Tsavo Highway section yet so now's probably a good time to do so.

*starts scheming about Tsavo Highway and Wraiths*

EDIT: Hawk, from your description I think I can guess that Tyrant's way would be to use a Chopper at a distance to wear down the other vehicles before claiming a Wraith? If I'm wrong just ignore me seeing as that was just a stab in the dark which I too used on my first attempts at Legendary.

Naw, it`s take a plasma pistol and hide under the overpass, then sneak up and knock off the gunners armour and shoot him out, hop on the wraith, blow it up, then two come up to the same place, take out both the gunners, blow up a wraith, then steal the other one.

Problem is the wraiths like to hit you with exploding blue blobs of pain.

That actually sounds...not too bad. I think it shouldn't be too much of a problem to do that as long as I keep moving and use the boost as necessary.

It's important to get to the exact areas you see in the walkthrough, and of course, wait til they stop shooting before attempt the kill ;-) If positioned correctly, they can't hit you. Their lobs will soar right over you. It may take some practice to know where to go and to be comfortable getting back there without to much readjustment, but it's doable and repeatable.

Well, you do have two more mythic levels under your belt than me, so what`s evil in a box to me might be somewhat simplistic to you.

In addition to my above post, taking out all three Wraiths and reaching the other side of the bridge pretty much insures your success. However, if you leave them behind, the first section of the blockade can still be rather iffy.

I find careful to be too boring. I like a reasonable pace to keep me from getting bored. And when I get bored I die like instantly.

Man, Gazas, you're blunt. Kind of like Shishka when someone's stupid. It's funny but I wouldn't care to be on the receiving end.
Anyway, how's the speed running going? Broken any records?

Not sure if Gazas has broken anything. But I'm sure going to work on my Storm time. Going to aim to get it down by a lot now thanks to Gazas' method at the beginning. I can down the Scarab in around 7minutes now.

9/10 the S&S methods will work as long as you're careful and realize that you may need to improvise just a bit from the walkthrough since this is a Halo game and the same battle tends to play out differently for different people at different times. However, using the displayed methods will get you through the missions. Most of them have been repeated several times.

I realize that there are folks out there who have a tougher time sitting still longer and prefer to rush. To them I say be prepared to die a LOT before you finally nail it. Kamikaze methods were designed more for the Conqueror class than people who are just getting started.

There will always be random factors that force you to improvise, but that's what makes Halo... well... Halo, and it's what makes the campaign experience uniquely fun. Again, I always recommend the S&S way for Apprentices, but that's just my opinion.

All we need now is AI to improvise aswell. That'd make it a hell of a time!

Well I'm definitely an S&S guy. I only rush through battles which would hamper my chances later in the level, otherwise I'd probably sit in one corner for hours picking off enemies one by one only for marines to mess it up with a stray grenade.

Man I better get this Mythic finished before I get ODST... I noticed a marine fighting a Buute toe to toe today and the size difference made me think "Oh crap, that's gonna be me in ODST...Brutes the size of Hunters, Hunters the size of small tanks...Wraiths? No thanks!"
Still it should be fun and interesting and the replay value should still equal that of other Halo games.
