Hello again. I've just returned from a long break from Halo and am now back onto Mythic. Just changed my style from kill everything that moves to Leeroy Jenkins, and It's working out great! Got my Floodgate time down from near 20 minutes to around 5. Anyone got any tips for Halo? Would be much appreciated :-)

Learn the path to take in the warthog section and don't hesitate to slow down enough to save yourself, those are the 2 top tips I could give you for Halo.

Tah much. I made it to the Warthog section last night, but my warthog flipped right beside a mob of flood and I couldn't find it again. Would you reckon the Mongoose or Warthog is better for this mission?

Definately warthog, it provides much more cover, you will die on a mongoose.

I got to my new furthest bit on sierra, got all the way through the sniper forest but then got sniped by a jackal while trying to take them all out in the next part, should i use BR or beam rifle to take them out? Becuz i scoped with beam and it was already looking at me and i was dead already basically.

Anyways, dno if done before or not, but halo quad-mythic all in different vehicles, warthog, chopper, mongoose, ghost? Or is that too impossible for you guys to want to attempt, anyway, when run out of other challenges, decent idea.

Cheers for that. I've also taken to giving Arby the rocket launcher, seems like a good idea. I haven't been blown up by him either, shockingly enough.

Right, I've completed Halo! It'll be in my fileshare around Thursday or Friday, depending where in the world you are. Cortana next then! What order should I do the levels in after Cortana?

Tsavo Highway if you like vehicles, The Storm if you want to get used to fighting the covenant on foot. BTW, Cortana is much more random and evil than it appears to be at first glance so don't be surprised if you're doing the level over and over and over again.

And for the levels after that, it all comes down to personal preference. The Ark is practically the hardest, but it was my 6th complete Mythic level.

About Cortana....that's just totally random, I guess you had some bad luck when trying it =)

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Cortana is harder for some than it is for others. Quite simply put, it's a very random mission as stated previously. There will be times where it's just a simple matter of plowing the road, and there will be other times where the Combat Flood spawn with the worst possible weapons imaginable and the Ranged Flood can predict your every move.

Case in point being me. It took me weeks to complete Cortana simply because nothing was ever the same twice, whether it was due to Tank forms moving my shortcuts or Ranged forms setting up in cruel positions or even to the Combat forms spawning with dangeruos weapons (Mauler, Sword etc).
Also, Kristov, you must take into account that the explosions generated after you destroy the Reactor can hurl debris and crates into you at fatal speeds so a slow and steady approach can be quite advantageous despite the level itself being relatively short.
Of course this said you may find it to be a walk in the park as I'm sure several people here did. The difficulty of this mission could also be influenced by your aptitude for close quarters and whether or not you enjoy such encounters, personally I know that I'm better at range than up close so most of this mission went against my preferred style.
Good Luck.

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

Whats the point if you dont get anything for doing it?
A sense of accomplishment? There were no achievements for H2 or CE, why would you play those? It is also fun.

I'm sort of nervous of Cortana, I disliked it on my first run, especially the room filled with range forms... And I don't like random, I like everything to be the same, so I can get in a rhythm.

I was doing so well on the Storm :( I had cleared up all of the first area, was just about to take out the AA tank, when a single grunt, who somehow hid from me, stuck my tank. :(. I tried to dodge, but it takes forever for the Wraith to start moving.

I tend to keep my Wraith moving. Also, you need to keep a sharp eye on that area to the right where the enemies approach from, its by the ledge that leads to the Wraith. The AA Wraith and the Ghosts wont attack you, they just hang around waiting to die.

The point of doing such a thing is because you can. Also it's fun and generally good practice for multiplayer, personally I get bored fighting only Spartans and Elites occasionally and popping Grunts is quite satisfying.

Bad luck, those little gas suckers can get almost as annoying as the marines occasionally.
As for Cortana I do understand where you're coming from and I think the best analogy for that mission is Marmite, you either love it or hate it.

Completely forgot about doing Floodgate backwards. I'm going to do it tommorow. If I don't beat it tommorow (more than likely), I'll continue it Thursday untill the V-Tournament is released. Currently stuck on 41 in Doubles. Randoms suck when they are quitters and quit straight away.

As for Doubles I know exactly what you mean, I made it to 35 before randoms seemed to be related to those marines on The Storm.

Marmite rules! Cheers for the heads up and advice guys. I had an idea last night while watching one of Tyrant's Cortana videos, I could, in theory skip the reactor room the first time by climbing up to where the second skull is. and walking round and jumping down.

Yeah, I tried it on easy, they were still there. I'll pass on that one. I also couldn't get back up there the next time i tried :-( Ah well. On my first proper Mythic run today I made it to the Reactor room in around 6 minutes, only to be killed by a Tank form from behind after clearing most of the side you start on... Bugger.

Besides, the Reactor Room (particularly the first time through) is possibly one of the most forgiving area's in the mission next to the room with the shieldless, weaponless combat forms.

It did seem unusually lacking in ranged forms. Well, there were two or three but they mainly did nothing, cept transform to Tank form and kill me of course, but...

Fisrt time i've visited this thread but i could use a bit of help. I'm down to one level left to complete on the mythic campaign. Crow's Nest. I seem to be able to manage just fine until i get to the room full of brutes (just after the potential shotgun pickup). Everything else i'm sure i can manage i could just use a few tips on this

Your Campaign history shows no Mythic progress. We're happy to help, but don't make claims that are not backed up.

The room you're talking about is the Motor Pool, and indeed, it can be a pain. I'd recommend checking the Mythic walkthrough, as all the advise I would give is already included for that area.

Considering that i don't Always have the luxury to play though the campaign while Online for several hours, the lack of proof i'm aware of. however i'm not doing this for recognition nor to join a club or group. This has been my challenge to myself for several months now. and i could use some help :P

I have checked the walk through, and it has been some help, however i tend to run out of plasma pistols before the chieftain aggros, is there any specific area thats its ridiculously easy to tag them with a charged shot (crates are one thing but i seem to run across a few who dont like to hide)?
