Doesn't take a lot of melee attacks to kill them though.

I know that's the case with the Brute Shot (courtesy of your video) but I doubt that blunt weapons would have as much of an effect. I just can't really imagine bashing a Hunter to death with something blunt like a rifle or rocket launcher. Then again I'm probably wrong but it's something I'll try next time I see Hunters in Mythic. I tihnk I might load up Mythic again in the next couple of days, I'm sort of itching to get back into it.

I personally like the Spiker for killing Hunters. I made a video some time ago showing how you can get them stuck in an infinite loop that keeps them unable to attack. You just need to beware the other Hunter, because he'll very much want to interrupt you.

That sounds good, any chance of you still having the video somewhere? I'd like to see it.

Is it possible you didn't read the title of this thread at all? Since when did the "Map Pack" have All Skulls On, a Walkthrough and was a difficulty?

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

And Halo 2 Mythic is, the true Mythic? ^^

As far as I know, the only way to play Halo 2 on Mythic is to go through the game once, collect all the skulls, then go through it a second time with all of them activated. But I'm not even sure if that works exactly. In short, they aren't selectable in the Halo 2 main menu, so it's pretty difficult to even get to a position where you can play with them all on, if that's even possible, through the entire campaign.

Mwahahaha! That's from the 216th page! And quick question. Has anyone even attempted H2 SLASO?

Yep. It's been done. Just not by me. I would imagine the simple fact that no skull in Halo 2 has the same effect as the Iron Skull in Halo 3 makes it plausible enough to complete given enough time and dedication. However, I was not a huge fan of the Halo 2 campaign, so I have no plans to attempt it.

You forgot the overly scripted (and only slightly visually intimidating) Scarab. That thing was disappointing and it looked like a basket with a handle.

I think the best parts of the Halo 2 Campaign were the Arbiter sections. It's a shame there aren't some of those on Halo 3; things would be much more interesting. Especially on Mythic, imagine how cool having temporary camo would be on Mythic to sneak past rooms of Brutes. (don't count the Cloaking devices dropped by Brute Stalkers because they're kind of situational.)

It's not that Halo 2 didn't have an epic storyline. It was that after playing a gigantic, open-ended game like Halo Combat Evolved with massive environments and so many ways to play out each battle, Halo 2 felt heavily scripted, and the snipers made it even worse in terms of limiting your actions. You were forced to do things a certain way rather than making up your own mind.

Halo 2 was better than Halo 3 because it was more challenging and I loved owning elites and brutes on my own. I didn't like playing as The Arbiter at all.

It was more challenging, but in an unrealistic way. Elites shooting an endless supply of plasma at the wall a full minute after you've ducked into cover? Come on. Halo CE had the best of both worlds IMO, but I guess each person is entitled to their own opinion. I was not a huge fan of the second game, but love 1 & 3.

Yes that's the reason I loved Halo 2. You needed to be quick, accurate and use some strategy ^^
Halo: CE was amazing it's environment and all but it wasn't any challenging in my opinion. Halo 3 is good too but I miss killing elites, computer Al's and map design isn't that great compared to Halo 1 and Halo 2.

Dude, you take the words right out of my mouth! We should do some multi-Mythic in Halo 2! ^^

That always annoyed the hell out of me, ducking behind cover only for every enemy in the room to keep firing at where you were most recently. It was just death after death after death. Got boring really quickly too.
And Pahat? Why didn't you like playing as the Arbiter?

I would say because you fought Elite loyalists with their Zealots and Ultras, it's more interesting than the heretics and the Halo 2 Flood. The Brutes were fun to fight though.

Well, as I said before. Each person is entitled to their own opinion. The over all experience is more important to me than the challenge itself.

I loved playing as the Arbiter because it gave me plenty of opportunities to use stealth to my advantage in combat. You remember those rooms in Halo:CE with sleeping Grunts and if you managed to assassinate all the enemies on the patrol, you could kill every enemy in the room without ever alerting them? I loved those portions, and so I would always look for places where I could kill off every enemy without them knowing I was there.

Those sections were so fun, I always felt like I was in complete control when there were rooms of slumbering enemies. Of course part of the fun was in accidentally alerting them and ending up in a huge firefight. :-)
Of course I tihnk you could have just explained why Pahat disliked the Arbiter missions; he doesn't exactly do things slow and steady does he? If it doesn't involve supersonic near death encounters it's not challenging enough for him.

Yeah, those were my favourite parts with the Arbiter.

I'm still hoping Halo 3: ODST has a more challenging Mythic. It's a shame Elites aren't in it. But with the fact that the new character cannot do things Chief could do. It should(!) be harder.

Another interesting thing here would be teammates. We have no Arbiter for example. But do we have brave ODSTs?

Oh yeah, I did some Halo Wars Mythic....it's not fun, it makes the game drastically easier, plus if you have them all turned on, you don't get bonus points, you lose points since half of the skulls reduce your points while the other half does nothing....A couple can make it more challenging.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

I mannaged to view the S117 trick and there are 2 ways to get up there but my way alerts the brute so there is only 1 way to do it successfully.
