I've been to busy with the maps and Halo Wars to work on Mythic, but hopefully I'll get back into the fight soon.
we know that ODST is going to a reasonably short campaign, so if there are skulls in campaign there won't be as many as in Halo 2 or 3.
However if some of the skulls were to be hidden in multiplayer maps too, then we could have just as many skulls and more encouragement to play the game in different ways. It's the sort of thing Bungie would do when you look at their record.
Anyway, we can hope can't we?
Well, I must disagree. With ODST being open-world, I can imagine there being even MORE skulls. Especially when you add in the fact that it's going to be in a city with lots of buildings and debris, etc. Then add in the fact that you'll be going "back in time" so the skulls could possibly be obtainable only in one time frame.
Interesting.
I just imagine a world 4 times the size of the level "Halo" from Halo: CE, throw in buildings and debris... we could be looking forever.
I just hope this time around, bungie uses paraphrases for the skull names in the code, so that hackers, etc. dont get around to finding them as easily. I mean really. How hard is it to open up Hex Editor, ctrl F, and type "skull"? Easy mode. Anti-Mythic, if you will.
Here's hoping Mythic is a vidmaster.
