Well I was doing Crow's Nest, the usual was happening, things seemed normal, but then something odd happened. The hanger didn't have the usual 2 brute shot brutes, just the 1 this time. Then another odd thing happened. At the Motor Pool, no carbine brutes appeared, only spiker and plasma rifle brutes.
By now I was thinking 'ok this seems kind of odd but kinda awesome too'. I'm proceeding normally etc, then in the barracks, no War chieftain popped up. Now I was thinking 'Ok something is up'. I thought the spawn system was whack or something along the lines of NPC spawning problems. The jump jet brutes were next. They barely seemed to lay a dint into the Arbiter, which was a good thing of course.
Then the Motor Pool again, no jackal snipers, just marksmen with carbines. By now I was seriously thinking 'WTF this is just wrong. WTH is going on'? The Fuel Rod chieftain was there (camo assassination FTW) but no brute on a turret up the back. I progressed all the way back to the hangar, made it out alive and well and thought 'well Crow's Nest is done....AWWW YEAH!!!'.
Then the scoring screen showed my results and I immediately noticed the difficulty: 'Easy'. I proceeded to yell a bit and I was left wondering how I could have switched it to easy when it's always set to Legendary.
I learned tonight that if things seem too easy, they are, and everything you've done has been an example of idiocy. Oh well, I have the weekend to do CN........again, and the Covenant.
lol. Well to an extent it really is understandable. You will have runs where you catch a break or two and others where the most random things happen to screw everything up.
Yesterday while we were on The Covenant, we were at that area right in front of the first tower. Usually it takes several hits to kill that Wraith, but this time it decided to spin around in a circle, and my passenger Marine caught it at exactly the right second, shot it in the back, and blew it to bits. Sometimes in that level, both Scarabs will turn around for you to shoot and destroy with the tank. Other times, neither of them will. That's part of the fun in it if you ask me ;-)
