Gearing up for the challenge this Saturday. Never really had the patience to give this a real shot, but your walkthroughs are proving to be really helpful.
It's a hell of a time you would need to beat though. Considering some veterans are going to try...
I don't doubt it, but I think it'll still be fun to participate.

Anybody got tips for the hanger in Crow's Nest at the very beginning? I've been having trouble with that. I spend most of my time getting past that particular part. Once I get it I can usually manage to get all the way past the jump jet brute part and then some and then die. I know I can get past those later parts on my own, but I just don't get very many chances at them because of the hanger killing me about 3/4 of the time. And most of the last 1/4 is just getting killed for fooling around in the first hallway. Any help would be greatly appreciated!(And yes I've read the guide)

Check out my walkthrough. It's best to hang out upstairs where you have plenty of access to Battle Rifle ammo.

I love to contradict people! But saying it is "best" isn't exactly the best thing to say. You're exposed to splash damage from Brute Shot fire (very bad) and on occasion Grunts make it up the stairs on one of the sides. Not to mention the possibility of being killed by Grunts or Marines while trying to get up there, or at the very least losing your shields.

I prefer the room just before the hangar. It isn't as good of a vantage point, but the plus sides outweigh the lack of Battle Rifle ammo: easy access to shields and plenty of room to maneuver, and minimal chance of Grunts flanking you. Just open up my most recent topic in the group for links to my Crow's Nest files to see it in action. There are three variations: Regular, Armed Conformist (No Plasma Pistols used), and Misanthrope (The description is long winded, so just read it in my topic).

Hmm, nothing for the impatient players?

Of course not. That and it really doesn't take long to clear out the hangar.

I suppose if someone really wanted, they could...rush the landing deck of the hangar and get underneath it, engaging the enemy in hit and run attacks.

Then I guess it all depends on the player. I tend to run out of BR ammo quickly, so for me, upstairs works better than downstairs.

I do that a lot, there's a hole there and 2 ways on the side as well so you can make them clueless if you're smart.

I'm not too good at keeping well stocked on ammo either. TBH I usually miss my first shot or two of each battle until I readjust to the Blind Skull.
Also quick question here but I've seen Tyrant's kamikaze run of the dam on Sierra 117 and a Jackal Sniper takes a potshot at him as he's trying to get into the tube under the bridge. What are the chances of him actually hitting you? If it's high I think I'll go S&S.

Not worth the risk, even I wouldn't try it.

I got 13:36 on Halo today, one second to fast.

I made it under the bridge without anyone noticing me but they will notice you eventually when you're under the bridge.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the Jackals, I think I remember getting killed by one when I tried.

They have to get alerted, get their sniper, and then shoot. So the chances would be higher if you alert everyone before jumping down.

Dark, too fast?

I've actually been able to pull this off multiple times. But TBH, it isn't the snipers you need to worry about. It's the Chieftain. Quite often, he'll rush the holding building where they're keeping Johnson. This puts you in a tight spot.

He rushed me when I was under the bridge several times as well, not a problem, but when he gets stuck, he starts spamming spike grenades at me. And you know how fast the Chieftains throw grenades right?

Yeah, I remember the time that guy in the 1st tower on the Covenant went grenade crazy on us... It feels a bit like 4 noobs on MM just spamming grenades round corners for no reason.
I might try starting from Rally Point Bravo and practicing from there.

The only problem with that is you'll start with a pistol and assault rifle. Not exactly the two best weapons to have on Mythic when dealing with Jackal Snipers.

Ah. That could be a problem, especially since Arbiter doesn't go out of his way to be helpful at that point. Maybe I'll go for Alpha, that way there are some BRs nearby the spawn and Grunts who i can borrow Plasma Pistols from below.

for crows nest hangar 1 id suggest picking up one of those deployable covers to bring upstairs to block off a stairway. you can shoot bullets thru it and looks around it but i tent to get flanked a lot from both sides at the same time, so by placing a cover there you can only get hit on 1 side and it relieves a lot of pressure during the hangar battle.

The Captains like to spam Brute Shots a lot so the deployable covers have little chance of survival, not to mention the grenades.

Anyway, I always save one deployable cover for the Drone fight. It's the easiest way to fight them in my opinion, has anyone tested it? (Deployable cover + Turret.)

I have tried It. The Deployable Cover got decimated In seconds.

Not necessary. Just kill a few with the Brute Shot, a few more with the BR, then move forward enough for the Marines to start spamming grenades at the rest. Those are the standard tactics I use.

Is doing Mythic at all necessary? There are plenty of ways to do many areas, but is there really any necessary methods when it comes to areas like the Drone battle?

Anyway, Kristov, the Drones aren't Brutes with Spikers so wait for them to get distracted by the marines, then throw the deployable cover, then get on the turret and kill them. If you see the color change, jump off and take cover, then jump back on. They only tried to shoot me the first time I tried it. It all takes around 1 minute (I think).

Is Xbox necessary?

Okay, okay. Enough with the philisophical questions. What it all comes down to is that different players have different styles. There really is no right or wrong way to do any mission on Mythic. It all comes down to the style of the individual player.
