Yesterday I almost beat The Covenant. I made it to the top of the 3rd tower without taking a hit throughout the entire mission (dealt with the Hunters via Fuel Rods and giving Arbiter a Laser) only to run out of ammo against the Chieftain at the top. It was quite demoralising to say the least.

Unlucky man...

Did you kill the Stalkers?

I stuck two of them, but the other two kept in cover and wouldn't come out. Also I Plasma Pistoled the Chieftain's Shield, and then set to work on his helmet with a Carbine, yet the helmet wouldn't come off, despite the Hammer Chieftain in Tower One losing his Helmet after 6 BR bursts. How much does it take with a Carbine?

I've never been able to remove the helmet with a Carbine. Don't try that anymore. Try focusing on the Stalkers first, then worry about the Chieftain. He's nifty with his turret so a good thing I like to do is to sneak up behind. He will spot you of course but he'll stop firing and start trying to melee you, that's where you go around him and assassinate him.

That's what I do if I have no BR. You could have used the Laser though.

Yeah, Laser... Well you see I used three shots at the start to take out the Mortar Wraith and then gave it to Arby in the 3rd tower. I wasn't sure where the checkpoint starts either so I wasn't too keen on taking it back.
And I did have the Invincibility from the 1st Chieftain, I just forgot about it... Maybe I should have used that to rush the Chieftain.

Meh, today I'll just make sure I have a BR instead of a Carbine.

Practically you don't need any weapons for dealing with chieftains ever.

I know they're easy to assassinate, but when he's got a turret getting close can be somewhat tricky. Also I'm not really keen on close quarters combat, I prefer to play it safe.

Now for Baddog: Pahat has a video in his File Share of finishing Halo on Mythic with a Mongoose.

Exactly, although it's hard to do it if you're not experienced with that kind of stuff.

Just done a practice run. Beat the Chieftain of the 3rd Tower by introducing him to the Chief's fists.
Then came the Scarabs...They were problematic for a while until I decided to kill one of the would be Hornet pilots before using my Scorpion to kill the Scarab on the right then going back for my Hornet to finish the last Scarab.
Citadel was pretty easy apart from the second room of Brutes (the one where they have jump packs), however I think that if I just let the Arbiter and Flood do most of the work I should be able to pass through easily.

Personally I do believe you're Eskimo x MT. But it's still very good to see you determined to regain your lost progress, congratulations.

As for this:

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

On The Storm, make sure you watch the Arbiter enter the building. If you rush too quickly, the door will close before he gets inside and you'll be stuck fighting the Brutes on your own.

That happened to me =(
I ended up getting stuck by a Brute =/
Will attempt again in a couple of days....has anyone got any tips?

Give Arbiter the Rocket Launcher.

Take 1 or 2 plasma pistols with you from the previous area.

I tried the "Arbiter with a Rocket Launcher" trick once before, but he shot me with it -.-

Always remember to stay back from ANY allies with insta-kill weapons :-P Also, the plasma pistols aren't a necessity. Odds are you won't even need them, but they are great to keep around just in case the Arbiter bites the bullet or refuses to go forward.

In this hour, the tower SHALL FALL!!! I don't know what that means, but it sounds AWESOME!

I have beaten the first level with all skulls on, but that's it. And I am never beating the whole thing. Why, the stupid skull that makes you go back to the very beginning of the level drove me INSANE!!! I would finish the fight again if I just didn't use that skull.

Well, if you managed Sierra 117 I'd say you could do at least 5 other missions. Because that level is one of the hardest, I'd say maybe a 4/5 difficulty rating with 5 being most difficult.
Also Iron isn't so bad because a load of deaths looks bad on a film anyway so even without Iron I'd quit and try again. Personally I think Black Eye is the most troublesome, especially for vehicle battles and battles where you can't get close enough to land a melee.

Anyway, I'd recommend trying Floodgate as it's probably the easiest (and definitely the shortest) mission. Good luck if you decide to continue.

I dont mind starting over, I just dont like saving & quitting, and then going back to lobby, opening up the skull list, selecting score, and then erasing my data, and then starting the level all over again so that my video will have only the one run through.

It's actually as simple as quitting and reselecting the mission. You don't even have to bother with the scoring as it automatically sets it for you. It only turns scoring off if you save & quit and then pick up where you left off.

EDIT: FYI - More Tri-Mythic tonight at 6pm EST.

It gets really repetitive if you die a lot though.
