Hello, Community!

Keep your guard up. And if you drive the hog too far, then the Ghosts are more likely to come up the ramp. Hug the left wall and ready your stickies just in case.

Hey guys. Status update time.

Still pluggin away at The Storm. Yeah, it's taking me a lot longer than it should. I know. I suck.

On the bright side, I took a break from Solo-Mythic and hopped on some The Storm Dual-Mythic style with my buddy. It kind of pissed me off, because we actually got farther than I normally get by myself, and he pretty much chilled back the whole time and let me do the work...

We actually made it passed the Hunters, and then we started walking up the ramp, and did not expect the barrage of Carbine fire. Needless to say, we both died without much effort, and the Covenant now have 2 new marionettes to play with.

Woe is me. :(

Halo 3: ReV Eskimo

eventually ill be back on Reach and CEA. i enjoy gaming for fun, im a great player and i enjoy smoking while i play. so any chill players feel free to add me. I in NO way support halocharts; old username.

the ark is a bit tougher than i though. ive mastered the kamakaze style method for the beginning and got the next area with the prowlers down BUT, when i use the method for letting my team mates kill the enemies they eventually die, everytime they have died at one point or another.i think im going to have to figure out a system for this.

Hehe, very nice that you guys reached the hunters. I died pretty lame today at the wraith, stole it from those gorilla's, took down that peace of garbage they call an AA wraith, shot down some ghosts, 1 direct hit on a banshee, some ghost comes up, missed him twice, and he easily kills me right there. Sweeeeeeeet....... not.

Allow me to offer some advice here.

First, steal the Wraith. Next concentrate on the Ghosts. After you kill one or two, a Phantom will arrive to drop off two more. When you hear the Phantom, jump out and hide to avoid taking damage from its heavy plasma cannon. After all the Ghosts have been destroyed, take out the AA Wraith, but if you think you need shields, range-shoot the gunner, and bash the back of the tank once to regenerate your shields. Then hop back in the mortar Wraith and finish it off. When the AA Wraith is down (and all the Ghosts), the door will open. Ignore the Banshees. They won't bother you. Headshot as many Grunts as you can, and combo-kill the Brutes.

Here's a tip. Stay out of the Wraith at this point since it's easy for the Grunts to stick you and tough to dodge their grenades if you're in the tank. Instead, park the tank near the door, and the Brutes will ignore you completely while they try and run for the driver/gunner seat. This will allow you to kill ALL Brutes in the area (except for the Chieftain) easily.

Oke another question about the storm, you get outside with the warthog and the phantom drops off those grunts and that brute and later on the wraith. I killed the brute, and the grunts just run from that spot to my wraith to stick me. Now this is really getting annoying as it's the 3rd or 4th time it has happened. And your walktrough states I only get 2 tries for the brute and then have to make my way to the wraith. Any advice on that one?

Leave the Warthog to the Marines and take one of the two Ghosts instead. The Ghost not only can use its boost to go faster than the 'hog, but its plasma cannons tear through Brute shields easily allowing the Warthog to then finish off the berserk Brute while you go after the Wraith.

I've never had time to deal with anything before getting the Wraith.

Take out the Wraith gunner after you get over to the Wraith location. Once you've done that, the Wraith really isn't a threat to you. Then turn towards the dock and see if any enemies are dwindling your way. If they are, take them out. Grunts are easy targets with the BR. If the Brute survived (or the Jackals), wait for them to get over to you and deal with them from there. Once they are all dead, then get into the Wraith. I'll see if I can upload my Storm 2.0 video. It shows how to do this.

So the wraith leaves you alone huh, nice. And the brute is trying to get into the gunner seat and leaves you alone? Niceeee, you must have done a lot of mythic runs to get your strategy perfect?
Hmm, no if any Brute gets into a Gunner seat, he certainly won't leave you alone. Did I misunderstand something?

The brute that is coming at you from a distance is trying to get in the gunner seat? wich makes him a easy target because he's rushing towards the gunner seat?

Correct. Keep in mind that I'm talking about the Brutes inside the junction between the two lakebeds. The other Brute (from the dock) won't fall for it. But you can easily tag him as he tries to climb up the ledge to get you.

Oh right, that Brute :P Bungie probably put a lower IQ level on that one.

I tell you, the biggest issue I seem to have with The Covenant is weapons either falling through the floor or getting stuck in the geometry. Let me tell you, all these whiny, bratty little children need to stop complaining about stupid crap like the BR and the trip mine and start asking to fix the REAL issues with the game that are actual problems and not just opinion.

I had to deal with it on The Covenant. Lost the BR after killing the Chieftan in the third tower, its in my successful run also. Also struck many times on The Ark, preparing for a fight and losing Plasma Pistols countless times in the exact same spot.

Edit: Made this picture today. Whilst I was doing my 3rd Annual run in 12 hours.

I always have this in mind, in all games, the Campaign mode is the number 1 priority, unlike many others', which is why they whine about the Trip Mine not having the power of a nuclear bomb or the BR not being able to beat a Sniper.

I also lost a BR on The Covenant, just before fighting the battle atop Tower 3.
Then there was the time in Sierra 117 where I lost my BR and Sniper Rifle whilst juggling a stockpile of weapons.
Really, I think I'd pay for a Campaign patch to fix the cleanup engine, whereas I couldn't care less what happens to the multiplayer since it's already balanced enough that there is quite a skill gap between players.

On a side note I whittled my Floodgate time down to approximately 8 minutes and 50 seconds today before challenging The Ark. Admittedly I wasn't being serious or trying to succeed, but from the first section of the level it doesn't seem to be as hard as people make it out to be. I suppose the real challenge starts after passing the shield wall?

I have completed my 2.0 on The Covenant and have discovered a few more tidbits of information. The first is regarding my post above about the disappearing weapons. When I arrive at Tower Three and am ready to get on the lift, I no longer drop the important weapons on the lift. Instead, I place a couple of Plasma Pistols on there via dual wielding, then go back and get my laser and Carbine. You need to actually hold these two weapons as you ascend since they cannot be replaced once you get to the top. Even if you lose a Plasma Pistol, there's a crate with a full one at the top. No biggie. But if you lose your Carbine or laser, you've just made the fight much more difficult.

The lift is a key area in which weapons disappear, so don't drop anything important on them.

Also, I believe I have figured out what causes the Chieftain to activate his Invincibility in Tower One. If you kill the last Brute behind the glass, he will activate it. However, if you kill him in front of the glass (on the Chiefain side), 9/10 he'll come running at you without activating it. This means you can take it from him and use it later.

I've also started using Hornets to take down both Scarabs rather than relying on the chance of one or both of them turning around so I can gun them down with the Scorpion.

Hey guys. Latest update.

Running The Storm again. Revising my run with some things taken from Gaza's run, including boarding the Scarab. Well, I was able to get passed the scarab, but got to anxious after giving Arby the rockets, and went too far up, and the brute by the turret carbined me. But, I threw in the save&quit method when I died, so that I could practice the rest of the level. I feel pretty comforatable with the rest.

I should finish it today.
