yes in order to be eligible for the recon you have to have each halocharts campaign challenge done on heroic AND legendary. if you complete it on legendary you STILL have to do it on heroic. you also have to have ALL bonus objectives for each mission on BOTH difficulties.then when he releases the 3 mythic levels and objectives the first person to compelte all 3 WITH all the other criteria will win.
Basically it means work your ass off to get a CHANCE for recon? ...
Oh how terrible! lol.
In other news, the Tsavo 2.0 video is up on my file share and ready to be viewed. To be honest, though, I'm not overly thrilled with the way the Wraith battle played out, so I may do it again. On the other hand, it does demonstrate what to do if you run out of Plasma Pistol ammo...
My approach to the first half of the mission is entirely different from anything I've done before. In S&S methods, I killed everything. In Kamikaze methods, I killed nothing. In 2.0, I only kill key enemies in the different areas either because I need their weapons or because they are the most likely culprets to kill me. I'll explain...
In the second area, I killed the snipers and that was it. I gave one Beam Rifle to my passenger and kept the other for myself. Then I raced to the dam and waited for the Phantom to leave. I then dealt with the Brute and squad of Grunts that wander in my direction. After that, I take on the four snipers. Lastly, I killed the one Shade that could see me from the entrance. I left the rest and entered the Convoy area. I stopped long enough to pick up additional BR ammo and the Gravity Lift before driving up the hill, taking out the two Shade turrets, blasting open the tunnel door, and moving forward. The rest pretty much plays out like 1.0, only with a Warthog instead of a Chopper. Even with the unplanned events towards the end of the mission, it still ended up being 15-20 minutes shorter than 1.0.
