You have to show me how.
That's what the Walkthrough is for...
As for me:

Reason why I hate Crow's Nest:
Landing Pad.
Landing Pad.
Landing Pad.
I think I tried about 10 times via Save and Quit before realising that the Pelican simply does not want another passenger. Then I tried to stick it out, but my only way to describe that particular battle is "messy". There's just no order to it unlike the Hangar battle which is quite structured in comparison.
Anyone got any suggestions? They'd be much appreciated. :-)
I went ahead and revamped my Crow's Nest 2.0, and this time I am thuroughly satisfied with the results. The Land Pad turned out exactly how I wanted it to, and I reverted to the 1.0 method (but without stockpiling) for the Motor Pool. It only took five minutes longer in total.
To address your Pelican issue, you have to run out there very quickly the second the elevator door opens, run down the stairs, jump onto the crate, and onto the Pelican. This has to be done VERY quickly. If you stop for any reason, or fall behind, you'll miss it.
Also, I learned NOT to bring any allies with you. Some times, Arbiter eventually spawns up there anyway, but if you bring Marines and such too, then the first wave will drop and the second will appear before you're able to make it back up, grab your camo, and take your position behind their spawn zone. Again, watch the NEW Crow's Nest 2.0 and it will show you exactly what to do.
I also switched up my method for dealing with the Drones, but just slightly. I don't use the Deployable Cover anymore. It seems like the Marines grenade it half the time anyway, but I still use the turret. At least being in third person allows me to see if or when I'm actually hit by stray plasma fire. I've started saving the DC for the Motor Pool battle. Again, it's in the video if you want to check it out, and as you can see, it definitely came in handy.
Well, thanks for this. Yesterday I missed the timing for my Pelican ride but I managed it today only for the first Brute in wave 2 to drop grenades when I assassinated him and for another Brute to swing around and set them off. >.<
Nevertheless, the Motor Pool went down easily and by using Save & Quit I finished the remainder of the mission.
Interestingly I found that in the Motor Pool there are 2 unused Deployable Covers behind the left cover used by the Brute Bodyguards. Similar to in Cortana these stay active continuously throughout the mission when you choose to use them, so with a little foresight I managed to fashion a spawn trap for the Jackal Snipers who spawn when you're heading back to the bomb. This trap had the effect of confusing the Jackals and although one somehow escaped, it's much easier to deal with one Jackal as opposed to two.
And for the Drones I think it's much easier to just Brute Shot some of them out of the sky then make a break for the fixed Turret before dropping a DC and hosing them down.
