I have a couple in my file share I'm using to get started on the walkthrough. And I'm pretty sure Pohat and Star both have dedicated their entire fileshare for SLASO films. Feel free to look around.

"Guns don't kill people, videogames do."

I found http://halo3.com/comic/ June 14, 2007 :)

#2 in the world for "Yuriev Time Trial" in Crackdown.

Anyone ever played Perfect Dark, for the N64? That game was pretty hard on Perfect Agent, it took me a few years just to beat it on that difficulty (then again, I was only 9 or 10 years old). That was probably the toughest game ever (except for this SLASO challenge mayhe), since you restarted after you died, you had little health, and the controls were a BlTCH.

I beat it that way, the SLOSO way, yeah. It was in this account. It was around the end of January, took about 2 weeks. The games might still be available, I'll search on my career things to see if i can find them. I had the films but my account got hacked and everything on it was erased before i was able to get it back.

I cant imagine doing Cortona with all of the skulls. I had a hard enough time running through it on legendary with none of the skulls on :l. Good luck to ya, and good luck on the last level!

I find Cortana to be one of the easier levels actually..just needle the turret guys.

Every thousand years there comes a man whose footsteps shake the very foundations of the Earth. Hang your head and pray for mercy.

I still can't believe anyone managed to do this. The patience involved...it hurts just thinking about it.

"This was the game Bungie meant for us to play and more people need to take advantage of it."

Congratulations on finishing the campaign SLASO. That takes a ton of skill, time, and untold frustration and you deserve everything you "can haz" for finishing it. I don't want to diminsh your accomplishment in any way. However, the idea that SLASO is the way Halo 3 is meant to be played is absolute garbage. I'm pretty sure Bungie didn't spend thousands of hours coding levels filled with enemies because they meant for players to skip past them using hammer jumps, loading glitches, infinite ammo laser glitches, etc.

I didn't use any of those tricks you mentioned. None of those really work for SLASO.

Some of the levels really aren't THAT bad. There were only 3 I can think of that were a little annoying (Cortana, Crow's Nest, The Ark)

Yay! I've done 1 of the 3 annoying levels. But seriously, If Crow's Nest and The Ark are equally annoying as Cortana, Im in for a tough one. I'm gonna go beserk and try super hard on them. Be extremely tactical so I dont make any stupid mistakes.
Anyway, I wont be on the forums from about now till about 10 hours from now. SLASO FTW.

Good to see there are some people who can keep their enthusiasm after trying SLASO, lol.

I found Cortana annoying because it has a high randomness factor and there's a lot of luck to it. Crow's Nest and The Ark are tough, just because there are multiple hard battles throughout each.

So I think your next 'Quest' should be doing L.A.S.O. or S.L.A.S.O. w/o dying. Now that would be impossible, or would it!? Try it.

To complete a mission on SLASO, you have to do it without dying. Otherwise you go back to the beginning of the level.

So true.

Take Pelican Hill for example. Sometimes the exit is clear. Other times there's a tank form and two carriers crowding the little space.

Don't let them fool you.

Because of the starting weapons, the first area of this level is by far the most difficult. Once you get to the area with the carbine jackals, you have much more control from that point on thanks to the large supply of carbines in the crates. This level would be far easier if not for that first ten minutes.

Magnum + Assault Rifle = Worst two weapons in SLASO campaign.

It sucks that you have to be online for this to register. I was at my Dad's last week, and he let me on his Xbox on my account, but his internet went down so I tried SLASO. After hours of endless peril, shouting and eye-straining goodness, I finally completed it. The satisfaction is overwhelming, and yet my goal cannot be proven. Oh Bungie, why is there such a simple flaw to your system?...

While none of us can prove you're lying, you can't prove that you have done it either, so you shouldn't just jump on this thread and claim you have beaten SLASO without even a small bit of proof. I'm not trashtalking or discouraging you, but we need some evidence to give you credit around here.
