Well done Matclan, somehow you seemed to fly through after getting to a certain point. Is it just about getting used to fighting in every situation.
Well, the way I see it is that The Ark is split into 4 distinct sections:
One very chaotic rush or two ammo costly battles in the first to sections followed up by the Prowler zone. I'd honestly say that this is the most frustrating part of the mission and is responsible for 98% of my deaths. However the more you practice it, the easier it becomes.
Then there's the dunes, grab some Rockets & a CHopper or Prowler full of marines and you're set. As long as you keep an eye out for grenades and other vehicles and react accordingly you should be fine. I've only died twice here.
Then there's the tank run and Scarab battle. Ridiculously easy, but a tad frustrating when the marines seem to get their vehicles stuck on corpses and whatnot. It also makes me nervous when the marines have access to 90mm Tungsten rounds, after all they are dangerous enough with grenades. I've never died in this section.
FInally there's the Cartographer building in which you must unleash all your ninja abilities. Things can get a little hairy if it hits the fan and the marines decide to through grenades at the sleeping enemies but as long as you dart through the nearest door and let the AI finish what it started you're still fine. The only section in which I've actually died in here is at the War Chieftain, more ninja skills are required as you either dance with him or evade him.
After that all you need to do is kill 4 invisible Brutes (my PP and grenades both ran out lol, I had to scavenge a Spiker and some Firebomb grenades) before hoping one of them drops a Cloaking device with which you can run back past the War Chieftain without him even knowing you exist before reminding the Hammer Chieftain to watch out for flying objects. Then you can stockpile plasma weapons and have an easy fight as the Brutes in the final section aren't very adventurous and arew somewhat liable to misjudge their jumps and bounce off of ceilings and fly off the map.
In all honesty I tihnk that The Ark, Sierra 117 and Crow's Nest are all about the same in terms of difficulty.
