Okay, hopefully I will be able to catch up. I'll look over all the guides so I can atleast do the study part. And for those who have yet to complete Tsavo, practice helps. Keep it up.

Don't forget to practice without Iron too, unless you don't care about dying when playing non-Mythic or practicing it.

I play with ALL skulls on, even when practicing, that way I really learn the first areas and eventually get used to it and it becomes much easier in the long run.

That's what I did. I'm just too stubborn and optimistic to turn Iron off, what if I were to get ridiculously lucky and complete the mission during a run sans Iron? The disappointment would be too much. And yeah, you learnt he start of each mission like the back of your hand and then build up from there.

Excuse me, Is it just me or does Tyrant change the rules for submiting our entries every week, yeah, your all uptight about the rules, be when it seems kinda awkward for you change the way of how to submit our entries, I'm just saying this cause I submited my entry for the storm hours away from the due date, and so did my friend, buy he had his titled, Mythic Storm, while I had mine titled The Storm Mythic. I don't know if little things like this is a big issue; but I also saw the post about the IV challenge on Tsavo Highway, and the different submission rules, which kind of alarmed me becuase I didn't do this for my other submissions.

He's simplifying things. When admitting people into the group most of them had entries on their file share which didn't meet the previous criteria (they were supposed to mention Mythic in the description) and therefore weren't eligible. By changing the title it'll be both easier to remember for players and easier to check for Tyrant.
Personally I think it's easier and after the competition you can rename your films to whatever you want.

Oh okay, thanks, it is simpiler, and I know that not that many people will be asking question now that a submission format is up.

I must suck a lot more than I thought I did. Got back off holiday yesterday expecting to be able to complete The Storm and Tsavo Highway and I haven't managed to do either. I haven't yet got past the Scarab on the Storm, and on Tsavo, I keep getting to Wraith Hill.

I'm way too afraid of getting killed by the Wraiths to jump in there and finish of the drivers. So it ends up as a standoff between me and at least 2 gunnerless wraiths. Then I inevitably screw up and die.

Ah well. I'll keep trying.

What like I did with Sierra 117? I was just practicing. It was my first try at Sierra. No Iron on. I finished it. ;-(

Edit:
Missions Finished: Floodgate, Halo, Tsavo Highway and The Storm.

Missions that I find easy and will be completed soon: Sierra 117, The Covenant, Crows Nest.

Missions that I will find hard: Cortana and The Ark.

I think I might be finished by Christmas. ;-P

For the Scarab, As soon as it appears wait till it gets farther from you, then use the rocket turrent to your left and right, keep using it until you see that all the infantry is off the scarab and all you got to do its climb aboard and take it out.

I haven't gotten to the wraiths yet, I'm just practicing on a lower difficulty which shows a big difference in how many enemies there are.

Just finished Tsavo Highway very fast actually.
It was about as easy as Floodgate for me as well, The Storm was the one that gave me the most trouble so far out of the four.

I beat Tsavo Highway in 22 minutes to me that level is much easier to beat if you just rush throuh it all until you get to the wraiths.

Can't wait to do the fifth mission =]

The Bubble Shield is your friend. If you remember to pick one up along the way, you can easily get within range of the Wraiths where they will not fire mortars. As long as the gunners are out of the picture, you have it made with a Bubble.

I try to pick up a Bubble from one of the Chopper Pilots in the area right after the first big Wraith battle. One of the Chopper Pilots usually drops one.

Also remember you can Plasma Pistol the Wraith while it is facing a different direction so it will not be able to fire a mortar at you.

I hope these little tips help.

I had problems with the wraiths, too. What I ended up doing was probably risky, but it ended up working out. I went up on the ledge where you shoot the shade, got the attention of the wraiths, and then ran back around under the bridge. The wraiths continued to look at the ledge, and I managed to run all the way up and board the back of the wraith.

I wouldn't really suggest doing that though, since they usually shoot at you on the ledge, and I think I just got really lucky. The only reason I did it was because my Plasma Pistol was out of ammo (yes I fail at aiming) and there was still a gunner in one of the wraiths. What you could do is just play without Iron on, get up to the wraith part, and practice it repeatedly until you have it down.

Yeah...if you play the whole freekin' mission without Iron, that's just dumb.

If I have trouble in the end of a level, I think it's smart to practice that last area (not any other area) without Iron to get the feel of it, and this is just my opinion. There's no need to go through the whole mission from start without Iron, just to get to the last part.

Without Iron, you can start over from one specific area over and over and over and over.....with Iron, you have to do it from the start of the level, and you only have one life, which I consider an actual run.

HELP!

I just finished Tsavo Highway - and now it says I don't have enough open slots! I had enough a couple of days ago.

What can I do? I don't want to delete down to five slots to get this in - and I'll need more slots anyway. I'll do what it takes to open up more slots - I just want to make sure I do this right for SLASO - and the Recon Challenge.

Tips for others.

Tyrant's guides - and practice with Iron Off. I have been working on Tsavo for days - and always had problems at the Wraiths. Practice last night - got my confidence up - and easily took them down the first try this morning.

I'm looking at your Fileshare and you seem to have a lot of empty slots, is it just not updated?

According to XBox - it says 'No Space Free'.

I just tried again - and it says I am limited to 6 slots and 25 MB of storage - and that I should renew Pro.

*sigh*

I didn't know my Pro had expired (wasn't aware that it was going to).

I'll see what I can do,

Thanks.

EDIT:

Sorry for the freak out - it was shocking to finally finish Tsavo Highway just to not be able to 'Save To File Share'. I've been able to do each level each week.

I just happened to have enough points to renew my Pro for another year. I'll just have to remember to renew by Bungie Day next year.

Good look to all who are doing this Noble Quest!

I finally made it. My run was loaded with some errors though. ( Stuff like deploying the gravity lift instead of switching it for a regenerator :-X) Lucky for me I was grabbing the plasma pistol near the human sniper where I found another gravity lift. Then everything went fine until I got to the wraiths. That part took me 30 minutes out of the 45 to complete.
Anyways, now I need to watch the covenant 2.0 en the covenant 2.5.

Which mission do you guys consider to be easier on Mythic? Tsavo Highway or The Storm?

I'd say about Equal. If anything the Storm is slighlty more challenging.

Now that I can take out the Wraiths - I think Tsavo Highway is easier. However - it took me more days to do it because I had refused to practice it with the Iron Skull off. Once I did that - I was able to do Tsavo the first try.

The Storm was difficult at the beginning - but once I got through the first lake bed - I was able to work my way through. The Hunters were a bit of trouble later - but I was able to jump up on the crates.

I found Tsavo to be more forgiving of mistakes than The Storm. Those Grunts are something else with the stiickies!

I'm trying to keep in mind that my skills are getting better as I go - so The Storm may be easier the next time through. I had never used the PP much until Tsavo Highway - now I wonder how I got along without it!

My opinion? In my mind, The Storm is much more difficult. Why? Because you go toe to toe with the Covenant, and usually without the aid of a vehicle. Yes, you can skip a lot of battles on the Storm, but it's more dangerous, I think.

Plus The Storm took me 3 months, and Tsavo took me 5-6 attempts, with a total time of working on just under a week.

Personally I think that Tsaov Highway is the easier of the two because it's more of a sandbox in that you can pick and choose your fights and even your starting vehicle. The Storm only gets easy when the Arbiter arrives to dish out the pain, even then if he goes down you can run low on ammo very easily in the warehouse.
Tsavo also seems to be one of the only mission in which the marines are helpful rather than a hindrance which makes it easier than The Storm simply on the basis that you don't need to keep and eye out for rogue frag grenades and rockets.

Any particular reason you're wondering what everyone else thinks?

I'm a great guy really.

Tsavo is much easier, even without using very simple and easy rushing methods, the slower methods are easy and the marines can do it all for you mainly. The Storm is much more based on luck and timing, though relatively easy after the scarab, it's usually very hard when the arbiter dies.

We had roughly 100 entries for The Storm. That's quite a cut back from Halo. I'm wondering if we'll have more or less people try for Tsavo Highway.
