Well written Tyrant. Nice work.
I think I'm just gonna wait until friday to do Cortana, I really don't want to complete it now just to redo it. I've done all the practicing I need. I find for the most part my only problem comes at the hive, it is where the majority of my deaths occur. I get it about 50% of the time, other 50 I fail. Should I 2.0 it or go super slow and steady?

You are offically crazy. That is unreal. I finally beat Covie on mythic too. At the main flood battle after the scarabs, I only had a plasma pistol and plasma rifle up to the jetpack brutes. Oh yeah, I picked up a floods br and expended it very quickly though. That was such a stressful part. I now have The Storm and The Covenant on SLASO under my belt. Can't wait to start Cortana.

Just imagine how harder mythic would be if they had all the cut content in the game. It would be very hard juggernauts, flood sweepers, drinol, flood stealth form and numerous other wierd creatures. But the one I find the funniest is the shielded carrier form.

The Mythic Threads (Halo 3) (ODST) (Reach)

There it goes, my third RRoD that this Xbox has gone through without having to repair. This time though, I probably have to buy a new one...

Oh...wallet's empty. No Xbox for me anymore! I'm gonna have to wish for one when my birthday is coming up in January. This sucks.

EDIT: Works fine now....I mean...yeah...

Well, if you don't have a warrantee on it, you could always try fixing the problem yourself like I did. There's a secondary code as well that will narrow down the problem, but I'd have to google the list. In short, if you hold down the white button and eject button at the same time, it will light up in different sequences to represent a 4-code number.

Or you could always try the "towel trick".

UPDATE: The Original Post has been updated to include ALL updated walkthroughs on HBO. Enjoy!

I'm sure that will help a lot of people on this mission... The Covenant has such a brutal re-start.
Kudos dude.

18 to date. We'll probably be looking at the 20 - 25 range by the time ODST is released. Kinda seems a little too few considering the time Halo 3 has been available and the amount of players playing. :-(

The OP has been updated.

You may noticed that hyperlinks have be removed from Conquerors. With the new search feature included on the website, it's easy to copy and paste for those who really want to go out of their way to view your profiles. This has allowed me to free up space so that ALL present Conquerors may be included in the OP. The Pre-Walkthrough Conquerors are highlighted in BOLD to distinguish their feat.

I did this mainly because the actual Post-Wallkthrough Conqueror post could no longer be edited do to the re-workings of the site. Hopefully the webmasters will tone it down a bit and quit changing the rules...

One thing though; you got me and Shadow mixed up. I'm sure we agreed he could be number 16 because he finished first (even though there wasn't much in it apart from time zones. :-P)

Either way, it;s nice to see our names up there now. :-)

I'm a great guy really.

Loving the kamikaze method of the covenant, perfect timing cheers Tyrant. Slowly improving on my methods already, and found places to further improve on the guide, the only problem right now is entering tower one where I flip on grunt heads half the time and can't splatter the shade, any tips? should I land slowly and careful, then charge? It's just annoying to die there half the time, when there's also only a half chance of getting invincibility from the chieftain. Furthest I got so far was the fight at the door to exit the tower, it does all seem much more straightforward in this mission with the exception of one or two parts where I just need to brush up on my mythic skills. I think I'll be using the tank for the Journey's End section too, gauss hog seems to risky for half way through.

Aiming for mythic done by ODST, so I can set new goals then, or before the end of summer or I won't have much free time anyway.

Now a question: When destroying a Scarab it's claimed that your shield regenerate. However I'm just watching my brother attempt The Covenant and one Scarab just detonated yet his shields are still down. Does this only work on certain missions or are we assuming that destroying a Scarab in the way mentioned in the walkthrough involves melee attacking the core?

Sucks to be right below the bold, I completed it in the middle of all the walkthroughs. =)

Anyway, the Xbox works fine for some reason but it will most likely break down anytime now.

I submitted my entry long before the Xbox broke down. I can just hope for the best.

MATCLAN, you only get your shields up when you destroy the core, not when the Scarab blows up.

It happens on The Covenant when I destroy it with a tank too. Not sure if there are circumstances that prevent you from recharging your shields, but thus far, I haven't had an issue on any Scarab mission. Perhaps he was nipped at some point?

Shadow actually passed this method on to me. Best advice he could give was to practice. You may not be able to destroy the Shade every time, so boost around the corner, hop out, drop the Bubble Shield, grab the Camo, and race inside.

Nope, in the tank well out of harm's way. Not even a Banshee or Ghost decided to drop in. As a side note it didn't work for me during The Storm when I used the missile pod either. Maybe my Scarabs just don't behave properly. :-P
Actually I'll give it a run with my other H3 disc and see if it still doesn't work.

I never even bring a Bubble Shield. It increases your chance of survival but I feel like it takes too long to collect it.

It only takes 20-30 seconds to get the bubble plus I recharge my shields from the brute because it's too hard not to get hit by any grunts, it gives an advantage to have completely full shields. I don't need to be told to go even more kamikaze or I'll get stuck forever again :P. Though the bubble only seems to help half the time if the shade doesn't die. I also laser the shade turret outside the entrance to the tower before I grab the beam rifle or ghost, as long as you don't go too near the edge of the cliff you won't grab the wraiths attention and you take less fire upon entering the tower. It only uses up an extra 2 or 3 seconds and that extra bit of shield can save you in there.

For The Covenant, I just rush up, kill the Grunt that's trying to get the Ghost, I then laser the Shade, take the Ghost, rush down, take the Power Drainer, go up the lift, throw the Power Drainer at the Brutes, headshot them all, assassinate the Chieftain, go down the lift, kill everyone with the Laser, then go down for full Carbines and a fresh PP that's waiting just outside. This is how I use the laser, much easier for me, and if I manage to kill both Brutes that are waiting for me in one Laser shot, the Grunts can even make my job easier by going kamikaze fail-fest.

I'm just glad the Covenant is done, for the most part Cortana seems easy. The only problem I ever have is the Hive and the random sword elites. They are a real pain.

Wow, that actually sounds easier and better, power drain part especially. the only problem I'll have is entry to the tower, but I'm sure I'll find myself a method.
