I dont want to win untill The Ark, that way I would have done every mission twice over. And I'd be proud to follow out the entire challenge and won at the end.

I know what you mean. Sadly I can't enter either Crow's Nest or The Ark so hopefully one of you guys will win instead.

EDIT: I also agree with Gazas. It annoys me somewhat that people can win on the easy mission and then never come back to Mythic. It shows that they were just in it for the reward which is really the wrong reason to be playing Mythic.
Makes me think of being in a horse drawn chariot and using a fishing rod to dangle food in front of the horse to make it run. :-(

Brings back memories of playing OoT and using Carrots to make the horse go faster. Good old Epona.

Haha...if you had Master Chief in that game you could use a picture of Recon to make him stronger and faster overall. The whole Halo community is a bunch of horses. =)

Lol, OoT, best nintendo game ever. besides Wind Waker (I loved the cel shaded graphics!). On the note of winning, I would be ecstatic to win any raffle between now and the end. Doesn't matter which one. The odds are slim, but hey, better than before right?
Also, by completing Mythic am I already entered in the bonus or no?

I hated Wind Waker.
If I won a competition now, I'd continue to see the contest through to the end. And no Molen, you had to have completed Mythic before the contest started.

Nope, you have either been finished by the 14th of June, or complete all of these SMRC challenges.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

Which was EXACTLY the intent of the competition, to draw more people into the craze. Sure, some backed down after a few attempts, but I'm seeing many people stick with it, and several others skipping ahead to complete the quest in an attempt to finish early. Awesome job ladies and gentlemen :-)

I'm all for people sticking it through such as our recent batch of Conquerors. But surely you'd have liked each winner to continue?

I also wish more people had sticked with it, it is a great experience and is really worth the time.
I only have two days to complete Sierra, so I better speed it come friday.

True. In fact, Tyrant should be commended for creating the biggest thread on B.net. Without having an employee post to boost up the post count from the "lol I quoted gold text" people.

It's also nice to have some new guys to talk to. More input on Mythic is great, I also enjoy trying to help people who ask for it.

I tried Sierra 117 several months after completing it once. Completed it on my first try.

You have completed it once. It should take you less than two days to complete it. =) Once you've completed it, everything will just click. (Not Cortana, stupid randomhole.)

Cortana clicked first time for me this time around. :-P
Bet I can't say the same for Sierra though. :-\
Then again, I may surprise myself. The dam is the only hard bit after all.

^^ This.
He speaks the truth. "You just have to belive". I completed Cortana first try on my second run through of the mission. And The Covenant was an easy mission to beat, took about 2 days like Gazas said. And with S117 around the corner, and it being my fav mission. I cant wait to start.

Cuban! Hi=)
As for Sierra, I have actually completed it twice, once yesterday and once a week agp, the stats never showed though. I should be able to beat it, I ussually only die from a sniper I miss. Infact, I believe I have only been killed by snipers. I'm gonna try kamkaze on the first are, watch pahats video to see how to skip through the first fight. That should save me some time, then from their just S&S again.

Halo 3 (31st), ODST (14th) and Reach (4th) Mythic Conqueror. (Mythic is Solo, Legendary, All skulls on + scoring on and no deaths/saves).

Staff Writer and speedrun record holder at highspeedhalo.net

Ignorance is the true enemy of all things.

Rocking Bungie.net for over 8 years!

I wonder if anyone will ever manage to do a Mythic single segment run. I.e. whole game, from start to finish. With only bathroom breaks. No deaths, no saves and quit and restarting means restarting the entire game. That would surely be the greatest feat anyone could ever achieve in Halo 3.

Historically, it doesn't look good. Only 1 guy I know of ever did Halo 2 single segment Legendary without dying, and that was with recharging shields still. Don't think anyone ever did Halo 1.

I'm a great guy really.

Going to enter for the first time since Halo for Sierra 117, I'm actually up for it this time and I want to conquer the level that annoyed me so much for a second time, to prove to myself it was no fluke. As for The Covenant, struggling even more with things I could previously do. That run from the start to the ghost is so frustrating too... I used to find the start of Sierra annoying.

Mythic Conqueror #22

More information regarding Mythic difficulty can be found at this thread

The one thing that bugs me about Sierra 117, besides the snipers, is how if any enemy that jumps or goes into the water at the river battle, comes out right where you are fighting. I thought everything was going great until I see a Brute come running out of the water brute shot in hand.
First time it happend it scared the -blam!- out of me. It's still a little funny though, but just a little.

Picture This time a grunt is sneaking up behind me.

I think Pahat could do it. Totalling up his current best mythic times scores just under 2 hours for the entire Campaign. If he didn't die he could even do it without breaks.

I actually found that pic quite amusing. Ninja Grunts FTW.

As for me, I underestimated The Storm. The farthest I've gotten so far is past the scarab. I tried to kill the Arbiter and give him the rocket launcher, but I somehow traded with a nearby marine instead (blast!). I frantically tried to get it back in time and failed. I then proceeded to kill the Arbiter again, when I realized my fatal mistake: I had killed a marine for the rocket launcher. In the blink of an eye, my allies obliterated me. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.

Most annoying part. Agree 100% Happened to me three times in a row once. One time there was this Grunt, then a Brute, then I saw a Brute fall down so I stood there for -blam!- 10 minutes and when I turned around, he came and Brute Shotted my ass.

That's happened to me a few times too. Probably because of my extreme grenade spam. At least, that was until I saw Dark's video, teaching me how to skip that area. Makes the level so much better.

And who mentioned OoT? I still haven't beat that game. I want to get that done by the end of the summer. I can beat Halo 3 on Mythic, but I can't even get to the third dungeon of OoT... I hate/love that game. It reduces me to walkthroughs : /

i just beat the water temple, but I stopped for a long time. Its hard to get back into it.
Also, on the note of the water, if a jackal sniper falls in can he still snipe you? I have knocked them in 3 times now, and I always go in to kill them out of fear of being killed.
