When you see one of them, don't bother trying to kill them, it's too risky.

Chill out - dude, you really need to

Bring back Final Run!

how do you/Bungie know how many people have completed it?

Bungie collects all sorts of stats in ways you and I can't even imagine, lol. The best proof we have is either saved films of successful runs (Campaign scoring on is preferred) or game stats for Campaign in Game History.

I'm having problems with The Storm. If I die, 90% of the time its stupidly. Like, if i clear the first area out, the Marines run me over in the Warthog. If I clear the Scarab Area. The Arbiter glitches and doesnt spawn or gets stuck in a corner and wont move. Or the Missile Pod hits a Marine behind me and blows us up. Nearly every run something stupid happens. I will finish it, might just take a while.

No worries, SLASO is tough, and similar things have happened to me. I didn't exactly get The Storm done on my first try either.

Tank Forms die very easily from swords.

Not on SLASO they don't. Try it with a sword and/or hammer and post your results :-)

I mean no disrespect, however I have sent you a PM in regards to the matter of fighting Tank Forms with the sword, and yes, they do die easily against it...just so long as you're not stupid enough to presume that one lunge/melee will kill it. Just backpedal as soon as you hit them. As long as you don't have your back right against a wall, the follow-up attack it uses will miss and you can melee it again for a kill.

So, as for my results, I've been downing Tank Forms one after another with ease on SLASO. It must be done with caution by luring them towards you and away from any other enemies. Again, no disrespect, just clarifying that the sword is viable option as long as you use it with caution...also, never approach them from the back with the sword. It seems that thier follow-up attack for enemies that attack from behind is much faster and will hit before you can back up far enough.

Note, I still haven't beaten Cortana SLASO...

I would have to see that to believe it. As soon as you slash them, they melee you, and the melee doesn't even have to make contact to kill you.

I'll go make a clip. It may just be my reflexes or something, I'm not sure.

Edit: Oh right...you can't make clips from Campaign. I'll just get the video on to geevee, download it, and edit out all but the relevant run.

Edit 2: I saved the film. It's currently in the process of being grabbed from my fileshare to Gamevee.

Broken link man, can't see it. Anyways, if you're doing it on SLASO, it shouldn't take you that long.

Good luck! If you need any tips or pointers, we have people on this thread, including me, that can help. Plus you can check my fileshare for successful runs of each SLASO level if you want to see it done.

I just finished it up, too. Lol.

As I said I would, I have the video. Like the description says, go to six minutes in to see the proof unless you actually want to watch me get there.

Hmmm, At the moment i'm doing The Storm. I just downed the Scarab, and the Arbiter hasn't spawned in the next area. Anyone know whats the cause? I saw him get of the Pelican and run towards the door.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

I was out of town this weekend. Thankis for keeping the SLASO quest strong!!!

Jew Man, congrats on being able to get past the Scarab as many times as you have. Mine were mostly based on luck. Do you have any pointers you'd like to give the community? If so, I will include them in the OP. Remember to hand off your rocket launcher to one of the Marines when you get to the next area.

And don't worry. We all make stupid mistakes in Halo. I managed to blow myself up with the rocket launcher twice in a row on the Storm XD.

An thank you, Ur Television, for uploading basically the video version of my entire "First Few Minutes" Guide. You followed it verbatim even beyond the BR part. This will be a big help to the community and I included your video in the OP.

Ok

Scarab: When it first comes, go on 1 of the Missile Pods and fire as many missiles as you can at its back. Try to destroy the back before it turns around. If you dont, just fire missiles every time it turns around. This makes it easier for the Marines to take the enemies out. Also, try to shoot the reactor a couple times so the main shield comes of it. Make sure you watch out for its Top Gun aswell. When you feel its safe to go onto the Scarab. Go up the crane and jump on it. Kill any remaining enemies, run to its back, 3 punches should destroy it. (That's if you blew up the reactor with the missile pod) Other wise just punch it till it blows up. Don't waste your ammo shooting it. You will need it for the next area. Throughout the whole fight, keep an eye on its two main guns.

I'm going, going to do more SLASO.

Thank you! And Godspeed on your quest. Remember with the Hunters you can hide in that small room in the far back corner on the left. Just jump through the windows and the Hunters will have no way of reaching you.

i am 90% certain i know what your issue here is. its a glitch i found a fair while ago.

after killing the scarab, from the time it dies there is a 24 second gap until the arbiter steps out of the pelican and into the game world. if you advance to the next area before he gets out then the pelican unloading script never runs, so the arbiter information is never loaded into the game. as a result he cannont magically teleport to the next checkpoint, as his data isnt in the game. a useful glitch in some situations, but for this it would be incredibly pointless.

best way to make sure it doesnt happen-dont move inside until the arbiter does, or he is right beside you. if its something else i cant help you.

hope you do well on your quest. i may get around to it one day.
