I musn't be beliving hard enough for Crow's Nest, maybe that's why I only ever get past the barracks every 20 or so attempts. Also, where do I get a deployable cover from for the landing pad trick? Do I have to carry one all the way from the motor pool or something? Or is there one in the barracks?

Umm, I've been getting my deployable cover from the hangar. There's also two in the motor pool but I followed the guide and set them up so that they block the jackal snipers.

I belived

7/9, just Cortana and The Ark to go :O

I think I've made some sort of Mini-Meme. Everyone seems to like my spelling mistake. :)

There is 3 deployable covers in the bomb room.

Congrats smile. =]

With regards to the hangar on Crows Nest, are the phantom waves trigered by a time limit, or do you have to kill a certain number of each wave to trigger the next?

I've given it 3 half-hearted attempts so far and haven't gotten past the hangar. But the rest of it seems straight-forward.

From everything I've seen and experienced through the Hangar, I can safely say that the phantoms come when all the grunts in a wave have been killed. E.g. wave 1 (when you enter the room) once every grunt is dead the next set of phantoms comes in. Jackals and Brutes don't seem to affect this cycle but I haven't paid as much attention to them compared to the obvious dead grunts = phantoms.

Pretty much. Not sure if it's the Grunts specifically, but when a certain number of enemies kick the bucket, the next wave arrives. Think of this area like a Firefight prep course ;-)
I thought so when I played, although in Firefight, they won't just stand in one place and wait for you.

EDIT: Double post fail, damn.

Youll get it Aura, I found practice makes perfect. Usually you can tell when your doing
good when the Hangar battle goes smooth, and only takes a few minutes to get to the
Drone/Bugger ambush, then it is all about patience from here on out.

Im SUPER paranoid about my deployable, and I make sure I grab one from the Hangar
staircase before running ahead to the Drone Cave/Motor pool.. Two days ago I was @
the Jetpack Brute battle, and I could NOT find one single piece of protection and I
died shortly after!

Sometimes a Brute will drop deployable in the Barracks, but dont rely on it..
I thought id get one in that area and It never happened. I learned to always come
prepared @ the Landing pad battle.

The best option is: There is also 3 Deployables up in the Motor pool near the
Hammer chieftain, laying in the left corner. Careful when juggling them into the
ventilation tube, they like to disappear sometimes or just get stuck. I dont even
like to risk it considering how important the deployable is to success...

..So, I just keep one on me the whole time to be cautious.
Hope that helps, and good luck finishing off the Nest!!

Theres no way I'm wasting my time on this, everybody is going to have recon by the time ODST comes out and there isn't even an achievement for it. Even if there was, it should give like a million gamerpoints or something.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

Aura, just grab one from the Motor Pool. If you need to use something else in the meantime before you get to the landing pad, you can easily just swap it out for a moment. That's what I would recommend.

Yes because CLEARLY playing the game and challenging yourself at the sme time is a much bigger waste of time than chillin' on the forums reading and responding to topics that don't interest you.

You're right. Mythic isn't for the lazy.

That is NOT the Master Chief spirit! ..Kidding! =P

In my opinion, and lemme say it again my "opinion"..

I think Mythic Conquerors command more respect than a 50skiller on matchmaking,
It takes that kind of determination... and will! That and it feels so gratifying seeing
the campaign carnage report and game stats on your profile at the end of the run!

It is cool to have a contest over the summer, but Mythic is not about reward!
Halo 3 has been around for 2 years, Id like to think I tackled the hardest
difficulty the game as to offer!

At least try one of them, Sparta! =)

Waste of time to play Campaign at its best. What do you do in Halo 3 that's not technically a waste of time?

I didn't want to post it yet because it is SUCH a sloppy run, but I figured, what the hell, you guys can enjoy it until I come out with a better run. My slide jumps were off, I missed the first jump in the hive b/c of a pure form, and I majorly screwed up in the reactor room II b/c I was NOT supposed to have a deployable cover and I forgot to rid myself of the bubble shield before getting the 2nd camo... either way, check it out:

I must see this. Congratulations on the record.

Fancy updating the Legendary zero shot as well? You'll get free recharging shields! And a hud! :D The only reason I ever did it was to prove it could be done, but then I realised freaking Goatrope had set the Legendary pace at 8:15 with literally only 3 shots taken in the entire mission.... I am not worthy.

Anyways, I took a little break from Mythic to crank out some cheevos from other games. But I'll be back with my bloodied and broken nose to the jagged and murderous Mythic grindstone tomorrow :)

Hey everyone, i did not have Internet this summer so i decided to go for a mythic champion spot. I have completed all but Cortana. (it should be done soon)

The reason i am posting is because i have been looking for a rule on whether or not my runs will count(all but 2 were done offline).
The rules say that scoring needs to be turned on. i have scoring on, but the scores wont be on bungie.net because i played offline. The scores do show up at the end of the videos, but the scores only show the gold skulls.(you have to watch the video for proof of the silver skulls)

So i was hoping someone could give me a definitive yes or no, possibly linking me to an official rule or quote of Tyrant's.

Ps. if tyrant reads this i just want to say thanks for the 1.0 and 2.0 guides.

Halo 3 Mythic Conqueror #11
ODST Mythic Conqueror #2
Reach Mythic Conqueror #2
Halo: CEA Mythic Conqueror #1
Halo 4 Mythic Conqueror #1

Crow's Nest in 48:15.

I'm glad I finally managed it, it'd be 46:50 or so if I wasn't an idiot in the elevator in my run prior.

What idiocy you may think? Well I had made it to the elevator and decided to celebrate by throwing a sticky onto a dead grunt. Unfortunately for me, my grenade was set to 'spike' and I accidentally threw it at the door. As I attempted to run back and save myself, a lone spike pierced the Chief's head and I was left sitting there thinking something along the lines of '...crap'.

Rule #4. Sorry, but you need to have them completed online for them to count. It's a bit difficult to prove that the cowbell skull is on. But at least there is an upside. You know you can beat Mythic and you've got some good practice in.

Those are the rules for the recon contest, they also say:

1) The missions must be completed within the time frame alloted for each challenge. No sooner. No later.

I think the only reason he wants the runs to be online for the recon contest is because of the massive number of submissions he will be receiving each week. I just want my name on the Mythic Conquerors list. i don't care about recon.

No, the reason we set the parameters the way we have is to keep people from getting a spot on that list they didn't deserve by somehow cheating the system.

If people want to be on the list, they need to submit absolute proof of their accomplishments (i.e. accurate history of the games + game stats linked to their file share).

If people want to play Mythic offline for their own content, by all means I won't try to stop them. I encourage people to challenge themselves. However, if they want to be recognized by the community as a Mythic Conqueror and stand with the rest of us, then like everyone else on that list, we need definitive proof that you were actually able to succeed. I'm sure you can understand why your word alone won't cut it.

You would need to do them online. Saved films alone don't tell the whole story. There are many things like certain skulls, scoring, and actual difficulty setting that can't be judged by watching a saved film. However, speaking from experience, if you've done it once already, you shouldn't have a problem doing it again. I myself have beaten the entire campaign on Mythic 4 times. Nearly five. And once on Multi-Mythic as well with my good buddy Vince. If I can do it, so can you.

I did have scoring turned on (only problem is it shows up at the end of the video)
the end of the video score shows i had all the gold skulls on and was playing on legendary.
that leaves only the 4 silver skulls. blind, IWHBYD, and grunt bday party are easy to find in the video.

the only problem i see is the cowbell skull, unfortunately whoever checks my vids would have to watch for evidence of that skull.

i am sorry for all the questions, it took me all summer to complete these missions.
i understand if you don't want to say yes to watching my videos because of the amount of time it would take to watch all of them + all the other people who would submit offline videos that you would have to watch as well.

I wouldn't be making a fuss about it if i didn't really complete all the missions.
