You need to portray Halo like like the Master Chief would do. That means that you must play seriously and do not do stupid stuff that the Master Chief wouldn't do like humping Brute Corpses. I would also like you not to pick up any skulls and access any terminals because it would not be realistic for people to come upon a skull and pick it up during battle. To make it seem more realistic, do thing like stand still and have the whole party do the same while someone is talking to you on the COM like Johnson or Miranda Keyes. This is Code named Operation P. L. A. S. O. Here is a list of objectives that you must follow while doing this:

-Must be on Legendary
-Must have all skulls on
-None of the four players can die
-No enemy Covenant or Flood may live (Exceptions)
-Do not skip cutscenes
-No few marines may die

To make sure that all the rules are followed, you must put it on your file share entitled the name of the mission and in the description, put in "Operation P. L. A. S. O."

7hank you and good luck.

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

this should be pinned/stickied

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

Keep in mind that one of the requirements is that you MUST complete at least four levels on SLASO before you get a shot. Basically, that means you've completed at the very least one Covenant based level. The Flood levels are almost laughable (including Cortana).

Why the requirement? When you play SLASO, you change your tactics entirely. Not only can you not die, but every time you get hit, your shields go down and won't go back up until you've successfully meleed an enemy.

One of the aspects that makes CLASO more difficult is that with four players, and ammo already scarce, it becomes four times more scarce withe the additional players. Each one needs to know their role and approach each encounter with a plan. Another downer is that you are four times more likely to make a mistake and have to start over. Even though the Iron Skull grants players the right to start back at the last checkpoint, that's not the way we're doing it. One death means start all over from the beginning of the level. On the plus side, there are three more pairs of eyes to help sort out the enemies.

I'd also like to mention that the plan right now is to do the levels in order from first to last (i.e. not starting with Floodgate).

It really isn't all that different from SLASO/CLASO. Besides, we're working on rounding up a 4-player CLASO crew, after that, there won't be too many of us left for this PLASO you speak of.

Not to mention you haven't beaten one level on SLASO. I'm not trying to knock you, but chances are, you'll need a lot of practice first.

The Storm
Floodgate
Cortana
Halo

I meet the requirements, but I think you might be better off with someone who has 5/9 done instead.

If I clear Sierra 117 soon, I'd love to help out.

Here is one useful thing I can think of for CLASO:
You can't check your own shields, but you can tell if one of your teammates has lost his shields.

Disadvantages:
Ammo is even more scarce
No AI Arbiter to berserk and kill off Brutes/Flood

<><>FACILITY B5D<><>

I'll help with CLASO as soon as I finish Cortana SLASO.

So far I've beaten (on SLASO):

Tsavo Highway
The Storm
Floodgate
Halo

Let me know if you can use me.

  • 08.10.2008 11:06 AM PDT

Sure, count me in.

Starocean, which Elite do you want to be?

Thank you for joining the crew!

Without a quote, the pronoun "you" leaves me no idea who you're talking about. Lol.

I suppose I'll be the Arbiter. I like him more than Master Chief anyway. Plus, when people are saying, "This would be so much easier with the Aribter", I'll say, "I'm right here!"

lol. In that posted I was talking about you :-)

And thank you Starocean too. You are the Arbiter. I'm sure you'll be 10x better than the AI :-)

I hope so. I won't have ridiculous health and infinite lives though. Plus you can't kill me for ammo :P

Ah. I guess that would mean I am one of the two random Elites. Fighting the Scarabs actually should be pretty fun this way.

I still remember that game...it was Team Slayer, and I had Splazer and Sword (as you can see in the picture). I was standing on that side and there was a person at the Bubble Shield. I start charging the Laser and he drops his Bubble Shield and stands inside it. I run forward and jump, and take out my Sword, landing in the Bubble Shield. He ran...but it didn't help.

Nice!

By the way, I just played through The Storm and handed Arbiter the rocket launcher...

He destroyed EVERYTHING between the end of the Scarab battle and the AA gun. The Hunters fell quickly! Then I got stuck by a Grunt at the AA gun...

For your PLASO idea (Whats the P for anyway?) how bout you can't let the arby or cheif die, but the 2 random Elites can die without restarting? cause I think they aren't really important.

Every player is as important as the next. In the Quad CLASO run, every player must survive.
