I actually got a good amount of experience in on the Ark. I made it up to the group of enemies just before I would encounter the first Wraith.
I made it through the crashed Pelican area with no shields, recovered them, and with no Marine assistance spent all three of my rockets to destroy the two parked Choppers and parked Ghost so the enemies didn't have a chance to use them. I ended up luring the Chopper and Ghost that are already occupied over the hill and got rid of them...well, actually the Grunt landed on his hood. It counted as being flipped and so I PPed it which pushed it in the way of the Grunt's grenade throw.
Considering the fact that I had no experience with those areas with SLASO settings, I'd say I did well.
That is good but don't get too cocky, it's the last few battles which make The Ark completely unmerciful, lol.

On The Covenant, at the end, with the two Scarabs... thats where I am right now. I need advice on how to advance though. Should I use the Hornet, or the Scorpion? And do those Banshees respaun? Because If they do Im pretty much screwed...or is there a certain number of them I have to take out so I can get to the Scarabs? Someone with experience on this part of the level please give me some advice. I know the rest of the level is a cake walk after this...
I highly recommend blowing up all the banshees with the Scorpion, and THEN use the Hornet to blow up the Scarabs. Problem is, the marines will often take all or all but one Hornet, so once you reach that area, grab a Hornet and hide it right behind the ledge next to you so it won't get taken or blown up, then just blast the Banshees and the top of the Scarabs (to kill all the Brutes on top) with the tank. If you're lucky, while blasting the banshees with the Scorpion, the Scarab on the right will expose its back, use this oppurtunity to blow it up if you can.
Thanks for the info, with that strategy, I was able to get all the way to the end of the level, but a flood killed me at the last second with an AR. I was pissed but Im pretty sure ill get it next try, now that I have working, solid stratagies to beat each and every portion of the level. I should, with any luck, have The Covenant completed by the end of tonight.
Good stuff, just remember the points where the Flood will ambush you from afar and adjust your strategy accordingly. If you can manage to snag the Chieftain's Hammer from before, even better.
