There has to be a better way to kill the weapons Chieftian in the first tower... I mean aside from using the laser.

BTW it takes 1-2 laser shots to kill a Hunter.

Kill 3 Brutes, use invis, assassinate Chieftain, take Invincibility, PP + BR final brute.

But even with invis he can still see me, so if I get the chance to kill him, it's luck based. How do you keep him from seeing you?

I actually just killed two Brutes, but while approaching the Chieftan he started running towards me, but then he went around to the side. I went up behind him, he turned to look in my direction before looking away.

In my opinion, the other Chieftan is worse, because he doesn't move from his spot, he'll just keep turning as you circle him.

You mean blast them with the Scorpion? And yes, I hid the Hornet.

Yeah. It takes a while but it makes blowing up the Scarabs much much easier.

We have a 4-player team going. We have Sierra 117 done, currently working on Crow's Nest.

Exactly. I may just end up saving my BR/Carbine ammo and dealing with him from a distance. Or better yet use one of the beam rifles from the previous area.

Granted we're doing it so if one of us dies, we restart the level, as it would happen on SLASO.

Vijay is a common given name for males in India. The word Vijay is derived from Vijaya, meaning "victorious". It is another name for Arjuna, the hero of the great Hindu epic, the Mahabharata.
The word Vijay is similar in meaning to Jai, although there is a small difference. Vijay indicates being victorious while trying to conquer, Jai indicates victorious while trying to defend.

Wow. My friends call me a geek because since Halo came out I haven't played much of any other game. They clearly need to read this topic.

Well, if you're not going to play very many games, you might as well be good at the ones you do play.

On the bright side, the four of us have the ability to carry a total of 12 weapons at a time, reducing the amount of backtracking.

Ok, I just reached the flood area. Got killed because I ran out of Carbine ammo. Fuel Rod Gun killed me. Who gives those Grunts Fuel Rod Guns. Also, Arbiter stood back the whole time and the only thing going forward were Flood Spores. Any tips on how to do that area?

The second you get there, take out the fuel rod Grunts. This will help to keep your near invincible tank forms alive. Then the regular Grunts. Let the tank forms do the rest.

Ok, when I got there, I stood back and killed 1 Grunt. But by then they'd all died. I should have it done tommorow. I reached the Citadel 3 times today. Also, I killed the first Scarab while still in the Scorpion.

I've been practicing engaging Weapon Chieftains in melee wars lately, lol, and more often than not I kill them too. All I need is a plasma pistol :P

The first area is the only area of that level that causes me problems. If I clear that, Im almost guarenteed to reach the Citadel.

Just had a rather interesting idea for the Hunters on the Covenant.

We know we can use the FRG at the third tower that is in the supply crate. That's 20 rounds right there (3 spare clips, full clip loaded). That alone is enough to kill one Hunter and also cripple the other as long as you pick up the Chieftan's FRG that was outside.

Well how about we kill both Hunters with the FRG? Here's my idea.

Recall that just before the first tower, there is a crate with an FRG on the cliff by the unoccupied Ghost that a Grunt tries to get in. Leave it there until you're heading back to the beach to get the Hornet. Bring that and your Laser to the Hornets, give a passenger a Laser and take to the skies. Why not give one the FRG? Because I don't want to chance any of that ammo disappearing, because for some reason that happens to me sometimes.

So, once you're ready to go in to the third tower and fight the Hunters, you'll have a guaranteed 40 shots with the FRG. (The FRGs in crates always have 3 spare clips and are already loaded. That's 20 shots) So, if you run out, you can just go snag the ammo of the FRG from the crate outside the tower.

Thats what I do. I keep the FRG the first Chieftan drops and leave that outside the first tower. On my way back out I grab it so I have a FRG and a Lazer and hand them both out to Marines. So for the Hunters i have 3 FRG.

I like that idea!

*claps*

And rounds to spare against the Drones!

BTW, give the spare rounds to Arbiter as he will decimate the Drones and the Brutes.
