Perhaps you do not notice this, but the increased amount of stress and pressure to achieve academically has increased phenominally over the years. My brother is currently learning the basics of calculus, and he has barely completed his grade ten year. I recall my high school years..... By grade nine, my father already had trouble helping me in Math, let alone once I reached grade twelve. In our school, we pushed 2-4 hours of homework a night, and were swamped by strict absence policies. If you talk with anyone over thirty, they will bluntly say that school life was alot simpler back in the day. Teachers push their students to work for careers in the higher reaches of society, such as law, medicine, or politics. Is there any room left for students who wish to work in the trades? What has become of our world. Teenagers are deprived of living a normal life, controlled by the lengthening constraint of education. The outcome of this? Give it a generation, you'll see the negative results.
