Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

ATI card?

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Rule of the Internet: Pics or didn't happen.

Please, do not be so lazy. Use ImageShack or PhotoBucket. Also, press the Prnt Scrn SysRq button on top of your screen to take a screenshot, then open up Paint and press buttons Ctrl+V to paste it on Paint. Then save it on your images and host it on either page I provided, otherwise use another image hosting service, and then link us to such images of your so called '-blam!- active camo'.

I apologize for sounding like an asshat, but I am just trying to advice you.

Help us help you.

[EDIT]

New: See? Not working. God -blam!- knows why.

Named Hyperlinks aren't working for a reason; sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Don't you have to use url= to post links?

Yes. That is why the only thing I included in the '[ ]' spaced boxes was the non-hyperlink'd URL's. I did do the test (Testing at this moment, obviously) text format. Also, I hate how the guys at Bungie practically hid the Quote box outline.

It is your specs though. I'm willing to bet you have an ATI card, probably Radeon 9x00 series?

1. First step, download DXTweaker from the net, or from my mirror.
2. Now extract the program somewhere, and run DXTControl.exe

Note: If the program is completely black, you must disable visual themes on it. To do this, right click on DXTControl.exe, and click properties. Go to the compatability tab, and check "disable visual themes".
3. Click the New button under projects, then under Properties:
• Check Active.
• For path, navigate and use your haloce.exe, or halo.exe. It should fill out workpath.
• For arguments, you can put in something like "-console -screenshot"
4. Expand Modules to Load and scroll down until you find Ident Changer. Select and check the box next to this item on the list.
5. Expand Module Properties with Ident Changer selected. Fill out as shown below.
Driver: ati2dvag.dll
Device Name: Radeon X1900 Series
Driver Version: 6.14.10.6599
Vendor ID: 1002
Device ID: 724B
SubSystemID: B121002
Revision: 0x0000
6. Now the fun part! If you want, you can click Start under Projects, or you can create a shortcut to start Halo with this fix and the arguments you provided. Create a shortcut on the desktop to: C:/.../DXTweaker/Config/haloce.dxtp

Now when you run this shortcut, halo will startup with the fix! Have fun.
dx_tweaker

download, if it says download failed on screen IGNORE IT AND MANUALLY DOWNLOAD BY CLICKING DOWNLOAD BUTTON It looks very nice after the fix.

All nvidia card have this problem.
I can help and get rid of vertical tearing and a little bit of video lag, ask and I'll put up link. And this fix isn't mine. It's Conscar's

it's the camo fix. Hard to believe than a lot of you, even ones that have been around longer than me and use nvidia, don't know about this.

I just don't use it even though I have an NVIDIA card. But from what he's talking about, it's probably an ATi card.

Everyone knows about it, it's just completely irrelevant seeing as how he has a radeon 9200, which is (i think) a dx7 card, which is why it renders it that way. My old 9250 did the same thing.

Umm it's completely relevant?
There are 3 ways active camo is rendered.
1 is the transparent, basically invisible version of the xbox.
2 and 3 are shown in the video above.

I'm a little confused, I always thought the 9200 way of rendering was incorrect, as it makes active camo worthless, and gives the camo'd person a huge disadvantage, as they popup so much and reflect everything. The intel version shown in the video is what I always thought was correct.

Looking at the bungie
screenshots screenshots though, i'm probably wrong.

It just doesn't make sense to me how being wrapped in magic glowy wrap is a good way to hide.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

nvidia=barely visible but no pixel shading effects. it's like lowering the opacity of the chief.
ati=the way it is meant to be rendered.
Note that the 9200 is old and doesnt render it correctly since it doesnt support the effects. on a 9500+ it renders just fine.

You have a disadvantage for campaign and multi-player. With nvidia, it is very hard for u to see enemies, while ATI users can see you and AI much more easily.

When I had my Nvidia card I found it easier to see active camo than with my current ATI card.
