in halo 1 there was no places were a ghost could go in water so in halo 2 if the ghost can go in water will it hover over the water or will it sink

Good question. I think it will probably sink

It would explode. I think it would sink seeing how it ways 2 tons and that would (I think) put 2 tons of pressure on the water pushing the water out of the way making a path (think Moses) and if it was in deep enough water the water would collapse onto the ghost.

Very... very good question and there's no real way to know. I can only theorize since we're talking about a gravitic repulsion idea instead of a cushion of air that it's very likely.

It could be that is why there's a concept drawing of a human boat. Since the covenant wouldn't need boats since their vehicles all use the gravitic tech, only humans would need the boat.

the ghoast hovers using 3 fans. and it would still hover over the water....in chiana they have hover boats thet us about 60 fans and weight ??? but i am sure that the ghoast would haver.

They are using anti gravity technology.

the ghost doesn't have fans. It uses hover technology. The hover boats don't just use fans its like riding on an airbag not just blowing air at the water. It fills up the space between the water and the bottom of the boat makeing it float. It's containing the air. If you can't contain the air it doesn't float.

i think it will sink if stationary, sink slower if moving, and skim across with no problem while boosting

SB-117

I agree with Spartan002 that seems reasonable.

It's ani-grav technology, not air-powered hovering- I don't think Ghosts will sink on water.

On the open ocean though?...the waves would kill them.

I think it could happen, but the water would have to be completely still.

exactly it's anti gravity thus the ghost would hover seeing has how there would be no weight upon the water.........an advanced alien race would probablly have desighned there anti grav systems to compensate for the various changes in ground density

well that was fun lol

it's hard to say, but it would be a very sweet addition to the game, cause you cant boost forever...and in Zanzibar it would be pretty cool.

Like others have said, the ghost doesn't use fans to hover--otherwise, it would kick up all sorts of snow and stuff in the snow levels. So if it uses a gravitational sort of a system to stay a certain distance off the ground, the question is whether the water counts as "ground," because otherwise the ghost would just keep on hovering a few feet above the sea floor.

For my money, ghosts CAN skim the surface. Because it would be cooler.
