But you were dead a thousand times. Hopeless encounters successfully won. A man long dead, grafted to machines your builders did not understand. You follow the path, fitting in to an infinite pattern.
Yours to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild.

You are Destiny.

This may sound dumb but my friend said that he knows someone who hooked up their xbox controller to theri PC. He says that they did this by unplugging the cord from the thing that fits into the xbox. I couldn't find anywhere to plug in the controller. Anyone help me? Or is my friend lying.

its possible, the part of the xbox controller that hooks up to the system is just a modified usb port, so u can buy this little converter that makes it possible to hook the controllre up to your pc.... i dont know where you can buy the adapter though (but i have see a screenshot of it)

I looked around for such a way (for I had trouble making the transition of the controller to the keyboard),and i havent found it. I did find, however, a USB port controller, and it works swell. It is the size and shape of a PS2 controller (took some getting used to), but has all the buttons an Xbox controller has. Although it costs a bit of cash (I got it for about $30.00), I dont think you will be dissapointed.

That is all,
Farewell

Your friend isnt lying, i have one and it is great. I bought mine from www.playasia.com and couldnt ask for anything better. It cost me £6.50 or about $13. I know there are some for sale on ebay. It is a USB adapter. That is why you cant find anywhere to put your controller into.

Alright, thanks. That would help my Halo PC a ton.

I couldn't get used to the mouse/keyboard either...though some tell me that I didn't give myself time to get used to it. But I got the xbox controller/USB converter from www.play-asia.com as well and I do not regret it one bit! :)

Try calibrating it. I think you go under control panel and game controllers.

ya, if the controller works fine for your xbox, but goes wonky on the comp, then thats probly all you'd have to do. mine likes to strafe right on it's own sometimes, but that's just the POS controller i have

Mine strafes to the left and backwards when I first start playing but it stops after a few minutes. I'll try calibrating to see what that does :).

Yeah there is a way to hook up your xbox controller to your pc. Go to ebay and type in "xbox controller adapter" and you'll come up with a whole bunch of them. There are two kinds you'lll come up with. One that uses the break-away connection (it's the black section a few inches back from the plug end and it just pulls apart) the other acts like an xbox sort of. You plug the adapter into the usb port on your pc and then just plug the controller into it (you use the end you plug into the xbox rather than taking that off and swapping it for a different one). I would suggest the second one but you can decide for yourself which one you want.
