In every online game on Xbox Live that I have played there have been cheaters. They for one reason or another think it's more fun to exploit glitches to make yourself number one than to prove it in the game. In Unreal Championship you had players who hid under the level and sniped enemies through the ground or they used the one shot ion painter and used a exploit to use it over and over again for no reason other to gain kills. In Wolfenstein on checkpoint people used a glitch on the gamemode to gain hundreds of thousands of points which a regular player could never dream of and in Elimination where it should be all about skill people would have their freinds assist them to gain the online leaderboards. Now that Halo 2 is coming out with a online ranking system I am pretty nervous because cheaters will use whatever they can get to exploit things to make themselves feel good when the best gamers suffer. It is a major annoyance and would defeat the whole purpose of online rankings and thus a waste of Bungie's effort into the game if is this was allowed to be in Halo 2. Your thoughts?

Like glitching, and if u dont know what that is, its when someone does something like having 3 weapons, or is on top of a level, or is invincible

Lag shouldn't be much of a concern. Once people learn that their crappy DSLs cant handle 16 players then only the good servers will remain. Also if you played RtCW or Unreal you probably noticed Bungie actually set up official dedicated servers probably to pratice up on latency over Xbox Live. If you dont believe me the gamertags and server where call BungieServerCom1 so I'd bet they were official pratice for Halo 2 online or bungie just likes helping the community.

There will still be glitches they missed, and people will find them and exploit them.

I am also concerned about action replay. People in Rainbow Six just cheat constantly and use infinite grenades against you. I'm sick of action replay and I hope that Halo 2 somehow is unhackable to the creators of that disgusting system.

Yes, but the updates arent that frequent and with such a big game like halo2 loads of people will want to seem big. Thank god for friends lists and stuff...

I think the inclusion of bots would proliferate rank jumping look at this example. Dude A is a low life who wants to be teh shizz he sets up a bot match meanwhile Dude B the low lifes friend has to go to work and he goes into dude As game they set up a locked match with 14 bots set up on the lowest diffuculty and one afk player and then Dude A plays non stop till he's number one. I have encountered this alot over Xbox Live so maybe people shouldn't complain about bungie not having bots if they decide it's not worth it.

I think glitches are what made Halo 1 big, its like DLC, the game gets more fresh the more you find. : )

The glitches holes in Halo 1 rarely effected the outcome of a game i.e people didn't beneath the level and snipe kill everyone on the enemy team

Yes, but bungie is smart. I would laugh if they sneak a patch or something into some downloadable content to fix said missed glitches, and the retards will be all trying to exploit them, and run into battle thinking they're invincible.

But my biggest worry is TKers. I've never seen glitches exploited on R6 3, but Tkers are everywhere.

Glitches can be fun sometimes (to find them and explore to areas they may lead to), but I hate it when people use them when playing.

I think that there's a pretty easy solution to this actually, I learned it the hard way from Splinter Cell. Play with people you know. Find people to play on the forums, or play with your friends, the point is, don't play serious matches with people you've never met, unless you're sure they aren't jackasses. If you're just playing to have fun, then it doesn't really matter. But as for me, I think I'll mostly play with my clan teammates, and then we don't have to worry about it.

Now, if we play another clan, and they cheat, there will be a problem.

I agree TKers are among the lowest of low. I wish in Halo 2 it was diffrent then in Halo 1 where if you got TKed then you had to wait 15 secs that was dumb. I think they could easily address the TKing by each time you kill a teammate you are forced to wait a extra 10 secs

10 seconds....
i say after at least 2 or three times the player is banned from the match

Also another thing that concerns me is how much power does the host posses and is there voting those can be good but too often can @#$% up a game

I think that anyone who can perform a difficult trick, like getting out of Bloodgulch's level in a Ghost desevers to use it. But then, that's more of a trick, not a hack or cheat. I really don't like cheats or hacks myself, I was glad when Bungie didn't put cheats in Halo 1 because it gave everyone an even playing ground. But things like backpack reloading, grenade jumping, or other tricks that require skill are benefical, because it rewards the inquisitive player by giving them fun and deadly tactics that are great to use.
