Man, i remember when i was your age, we used to trudge 2 miles through 10 inches of snow, just to go to your best buddies house (who was only your best buddy cuz of all the cool toys he had) and play on a video game console that had ONLY 8 bit colour and used a Joystick. In case it's beyond your years or comprehension, these so called Joysticks consisted of a 4 way directional stick and only ONE button. and the games, they were so straightforward and just darn fun. you knew which level you were on by the colour on the screen, the game music you could replay using tones on the telephone, and highscores actually meant something! good times good times. you dont know how lucky you are, you youth of today. with all your flashy bump-mapping and your fancy texture-model-vector-alpha thingamagigs (whatever those are... nerds) you guys have it all, abosolutely NO IDEA how lucky you are! what ever happened to the beloved Sprite? or the cartridge games? Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A Select Start? gamers today... pfff

*soaks dentures so they're ready for the next rant*

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I miss those days....

Remember when the NES came out? after playing Atari for what seemed like an eternity, see the graphics on the NES was like see god for the first time. i remember thinking ' how can graphics get any better than this?!' i was never a big super mario 1 fan, i got hooked on final fantasy right off the bat, that was the beginning of the end of the beginning. After raping FF multiple times with blatant disregard to its rights, i moved onto wizards and warriors. can you say 'old skool classic'?(that's right, spelt with a k, a k for extra kool). so many other games that kept me occupied. Cabal, RC ProAM, Tetris (i can almost hear the collective sigh of recollection at its mere mention), CONTRA!!!, so many more. how bout bionic commando? yea i know, total sweetness. dont let me get started on the SNES

Sonic was mind-blowing fast, and the graphics were ' gnarly' (mandatory TMNT reference). lol that brings me to rarely mentioned(for a reason) Sega CD. Sewer Shark anyone?

It was uphill both ways, eh?

Old games--so simple yet so complex. Make this little red and blue so-called Plumber jump between obsicles, or run through a haunted house in under 240 seconds.
The oldest game I could think of is Mario for N16.

Edit: No, wait, Sonic for the Sega Game Gear is older.

Sewer Shark! Was that the game where you were in a flying machine and you flew through the sewers named Dogmeat?
