pci is MUCH better, you can always put more ram in, and if i can comprehend what you're saying, a PCI card should prevent so much of your ram getting sucked up.

Yeah it will help u out with ur ram. I had the same intergrated graphics. The only thing about that intergrated graphics, it only ran at 32mb instead of 64mb. I bought a card similar to the one ur gonna buy but it is the PNY GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 128mb AGP. I would suggest getting an AGP card if possible. This card is great. Here is a screen shot of me playing halo and look how good it looks!

go for an AGP slot card though, pci is too old
Radeon 9600

nVidia FX5700 LE

nVidia FX5700 LE PCI

Potentially the best card ever for CHEAP

EDIT: Good Graphics

Bad Graphics

What kind of slots do you have on your mother board? if you can, buy an PCI-e card from ATI cuz they're cheaper than their AGP cards. (9800 XT)

Yeah I had 128 MB of integrated and I had to run HAlo at 640x480 (everything on). It was disgusting. Now with my new card I run it at 1280x1024 (Everything on) without any laggin' so I tried putting it back on 640x480 to see what it was like and I couldn't stand the terrible graphics

ok. My moniter's maximum resolution is 1280x1024 so I expanded the nasty graphics picture's attributes to that so that you could see what it would look like on a moniter like mine. They take a while to load and you'll have to enlarge them so that they look decent.

I think he's un-banned now I'm not sure. I think there's a huge difference between 640x480. Everythings all yuck when I run it at low resolutions.
