What books are you reading right now?

I just finished Book 10 in the Wheel of Time Series, and man I was bumned at the end, major cliff hanger, and more happened in the last 100 pages then the rest of the entire book.
I really hope this series is going somewhere and soon.

So, since i am a glutton, i am reading the Pre-quel to the Wheel of Time books, technically the 11th book released, but takes place 20 years before the first one (eye of the world) did.
so far its good, I am about 70 pages in. Speaking of which, i have been staring at this computer screen tooo long... going to relax with a beer and pick up the book. post in my absence, i will check in later.

I've only read the first three books, but they were awesome. I never got around to the rest for some reason. I did buy the Heron Mark sword though...

I just got done reading these hilarious books by Tim Dorsey;
Florida Roadkill, The Hammerhead Ranch Motel, Orange Crush, Triggerfish Lane, and Cadillac Beach.

You'll learn all you ever wanted to know about Florida, and sometimes it's fun to root for the bad guy...

How is that? The only video game Book i have so far is First Strike. I am a big fan of Diablo 2. does the book follow a certain character class, group of charachters? what are the basics, does it follow the story of the Xpac?

I'm not reading anything at the moment. After getting through 1984, I feel like a bit of a rest ;-)

hahaha. keep hoping. i think i've already given my thoughts on this series to you, so i won't repeat. but, i'm convinced jordan is just some sadistic bastard that is bent on wasting the time of as many people as he can, before he dies. it's called chronocide. he's murdering you just a little bit with every page you continue to read. when it's all done, he'll probably have claimed a year of your life.
anywhoo, i finished reading Papillon not too long ago. and i managed to struggle my way through Fall of Reach. too bad the writing is so terrible, because the story isn't too bad. working on the Flood right now. i'm pleased, in a pissed off kind of way, to say that dietz has raised the level of writing to a 4th-5th grade level.

I kinda figured that by now... have you read all 10 plus the prequal? I kinda like the prequal, get more background on Lan, Moraine and Siun. I am halfway through it now.
I agree, the writing in frist strike was awful, but it was my interest in the halo storyline that keep me going.

i've only read the first 6 (i believe). while it was fun at first, i didn't like where it was heading - or wasn't heading.
i haven't gotten to First Strike, but seeing as how it's the same author as Fall of Reach, i'm not expecting War and Peace. but yeah, the sheer coolness of halo is the only thing motivating me to continue reading the series. and the fact that i already bought the damn books...

How many more books do you think there will be in the WoT? I read them too, a while ago and just finished the prequel. The 10th book suxed. He's drawing them out too long for money, and if he keeps going on like this, he's not gonna get any money.
