The real question is why the hell you'd want to?

I hate playing FPS games on pc. I'm much more of a console man. So that seems like a logical idea to me.

Well, with all respect, make sense.

Yeah once you get your controller you have to get a driver to make the halo game detect the gamepad. If you do end up getting the adapter, and it does not end up with a driver with it here is a link to a driver that you can download to make the gamepad work.

I dont remeber which driver I downloaded. I have only had my controller for about a week. Probably the one that says NEW in big letters next to it.
Once you start halo, you will see in settings, or you should, GAMEPADS, click on it and then you should see the driver name. Click on it and it willl move over to the profile that is currently running. So make sure that the profile is yours. After that go to settings, control setup, and in their, go to the top and switch from keyboard/mouse to gamepad. Once their, just assign your buttons. For the axis's just move the analog stick in the direction you want.
My controller works pretty good for, consideringt that I have never used one before. You might have problems with installation. It might want you to reinstall, I had to do it three times before it permanently installed.

I have used a controller in one form or another since the beginning, and I'm not a push over...

If you are unfortunate to buy an XBox controller adapter and it doesn't come with a driver, I make one available from my site that works well. If you are still intending on buying one and live in the UK (for next day delivery etc...), try THIS . I've bought quite a few from them now and they always do a good job of getting it out fast... WITH the driver on a floppy...
