Yeah once you get your controller you have to get a driver to make the halo game detect the gamepad. If you do end up getting the adapter, and it does not end up with a driver with it here is a link to a driver that you can download to make the gamepad work.

I dont remeber which driver I downloaded. I have only had my controller for about a week. Probably the one that says NEW in big letters next to it.
Once you start halo, you will see in settings, or you should, GAMEPADS, click on it and then you should see the driver name. Click on it and it willl move over to the profile that is currently running. So make sure that the profile is yours. After that go to settings, control setup, and in their, go to the top and switch from keyboard/mouse to gamepad. Once their, just assign your buttons. For the axis's just move the analog stick in the direction you want.
My controller works pretty good for, consideringt that I have never used one before. You might have problems with installation. It might want you to reinstall, I had to do it three times before it permanently installed.
