Darth Vader sleeps with a Teddywookie. Pass it on.

A truly wise man never plays leapfrog with a unicorn.

I'd play more Halo 3 if I didn't have so much to take care of at home before my wife has our third child. Stupid responsibilities...

Bungie's great interaction with gamers, although not fully appreciated all the time, is by far the best effort put forth by any game studio out there.

Honestly, I think it's because, Firstly, Halo is a game most of us have been playing since it came out, and it's a secure, warm place to back to. I also think it has a lot to do with the online connectivity (with Bungie.net), when I am bored in my programming class at school, I can just show my friend the wicked game I had last night.

I think it really boils down to the game just being really damn fun.

I play Halo 3 because it never stops being fun. While games that rated better (like COD4 for example) are all very good, they aren't fun forever; Halo is. The online community, forums, etc. for Halo and Bungie.net are also better than for most other games.

I play cuz it's just flippin fun times...I really only play if I have friends online to play with, but we all love the diversity that Halo 3 brings whereas other games....'like, such as' COD4 are the same old thing over and over again. Vehicles and the vast array of weapons gives H3 an immense amount of re-playability - not to mention the saved films feature and a constant wave of new maps, variants, and gametypes.

ive never left Halo at all- i admit that the game infuriates me at times, whether its shooting a assault rifle clip into the back of the head of an elite who just will NOT go down in SWAT, or sniping someone in the head FOUR TIMES on Last Resort while they stand there with blood flying out the back of their skull. but i guess wat keeps me loyal to the game so much is that ive been a professional at all Halo titles since the age of 8. ive always had a knack for it and hav been a fan of the game for almost half of my life. i feel like if i were to ever just quit for any reason my life would be wasted.

I don't play as mush as I used to because of work, but I still go back to it for many reasons.
Bungie's close interaction with it's community has impressed me over the years, even when the children cry and complain.

Although, I am anxious to see Bungie's next project, I still would rather play Halo 3.

Mainly I play Halo because the majority of my friends play it as well. Also because nothing else really entertains me. CoD4 frustrates the hell out of me, and, well yeah.

I started off on Live on Halo 2. So Halo is kind of like, my 'home' game.

The Flood Revolution is coming...

May sound weird, but I dislike being rewarded for my loses. Halo is like the only game you are penalized for losing, and that alone makes me want to be better which keeps me interested. In COD4, GTA IV , or Gears of War you can lose a match and still be rewarded, I can not enjoy that. And Halo 3 keeps getting better, always something new to keep me playing. New maps, gametypes, DoubleEXP Weekends, forge, new playlist, and of course the community. After all shooters die down and lose their hype, Halo 3 will still one of Lives most played games just like Halo 2 was years after it's release.

For me, its everything, the weapons, the story, the achievements, the armor sets, the ranks, the multiplayer, the game settings, the community, the forge, the trash talk, the great victories, the terrible loses, you name it, the game is a classic, and a completely new plethora of insanity. That kind of dynamic approach and dedication to a game is what makes it truly fun and replayable. For my entire 14 years of being a gamer, this game will rank in my top 10 forever.

Why? Because Bungie plays with the fans and know what's going on. ^___^ Even the game Halo 3 itself is good besides them.

Everything everyone has mentioned is all true. Co-Op Campaign, Forge, Saved Films, Stats, Web integration, the list goes on. It all starts with great gameplay and story and ends with a great community. People ask me all the time why I continue to play Halo and I tell them all the same thing, "because its fun!" Its the only FPS that is fun to play months after you get it, not just months, but years. In a few years I know I wont be playing COD4, but I will be playing Halo 3.

-Life is suffering, now go and enjoy.

I come back to Halo because it is an over all fun game to play with all it's features. I know it can sometimes be frustrating and i need to take a break but thats because i love it. Also the great community on Bungie.net and on Halo 3 is always nice to come back to. Also it's the best game ever to play with friends because of everything you can do. Thats why i keep coming back.

I play halo for the special feeling of doing something incredibly awesome that makes everyone else say OMG HOW DID YOU DO THAT!!!!! That is why I play halo. Although, these moments are becoming few and far between. Something that would bring these moments back would make me want to play even more.

Community! Really, theres an awesome community here. Not to mention Halo 3's amazing level of depth.

I only play because of that big purple bird in the sky....and because of that community thing too, I guess ;)

Everything about Halo 3 is fun!! Thats why I play it. The ability to customize games and maps. To be able to watch that amazing game you just had and take pictures of it. Just the infinite amount of possibilities, also the excitement every time you fire up that xbox and see BUNGIE come across the screen, you know only great things are going to follow that. Halo 3 keeps me coming back bc its challenging, fun, meet new people and play with friends. Its the best!

Your games kick ass, and your site's community is awesome. I wish I could be more specific, but I can't! It's just so freaking cool! Thanks Bungie!

I play for community, for fun games, and the ability to customize so much. Only Elder Scrolls Oblivion has had the same affect on me where even if play a new game for a little while, I will still come back to H3 and play with the groups I am in.

I have many fond memories of LAN games on CE and H2, as well as online. Each time I play could be the next great memory.

I think the constant evolution of the gametypes and maps helps, too. Even though some games give you new maps, the game types remain the same.

i will admit halo has its problems sometimes but bungie atleast trys to fix it.
and the reason i havent gone and stopped playin halo is that bungie stays interacted with the players and they keep coming out with new hoppers.

ps: Halo > COD4

Yea im still not sure why i keep back to halo 3. But if i were to say, it would be because other games get boring and halo is more fun with friends.

What keeps me coming to halo3?

Well mostly the fact that Halo 3 is always a diffrent game when you play it.
Im actually talking about the matches..
I havent played a single match yet and said "boring,i played the same match yesterday"

Biggest thing is the fact that Bungie keeps in touch with the community and listens to us when they are making the playlists

Community didnt like the melee system? Look what happend!
Too much BR in playlists? No worries in June!

Of course MLG playlist is really good addition and i like that Bungie and MLG are best friends now.
