I was wondering, what button will sprint be for the MC? I know that when u are in a ghost or banshee, u can sprint by using the left trigger, but what about when ur on the ground as the master chief?

No because clicking the left analog stick makes the MC crouch.

SB-117

Thats used to crouch..........

I think maybe a double tap forward on the left stick. Up, and then up and hold to keep running. release to stop.

No clicking the left analog stick would make you crouch it has to be the right analog stick.

maybe... umm... if you hold down the switch weapon button, and it would make the mc able to sprint

maybe the d-pad:

UP: Sprint
LEFT: Peek left
RIGHT: Peek right
DOWN: dunno what it could be used for....

What about when your walking just hold down the a button to run. because tapping it would make you jump.

Maybe you wont be able to walk with the D-Pad anymore (as if anyone does tho) and they decide to make the D-Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right) to actually do something worthwhile, Like SprinTinG

Ooooh, Bungie are pushing their luck with the buttons. Maybe just don't push the left stick as far to walk, and push it all the way to sprint.

this is my idea...

push in left control stick- toggle sprint
d-pad left- peek left
d-pad right- peek right
d-pad up- stance up
d-pad down- stance down

what would you guys think if they added a prone position instead of just being able to crouch? imagine crawling through some tall grass on your stomach with a sniper rifle.....

if the left analog stick makes you crouch or move, and the right one makes you zoom(with a scope gun) and turn, black makes you switch grenades, white makes you turn on your flashlight(or nightvision),x is to reload or swap weapons, b is to meele, a is to jump, y is to switch weapons, right trigger is to shoot and left trigger is to grenade, i dont think they have much of a choice. the d-pad is least often used, so they could actually make good use of it.

thats exactly right

DOWN = lying down, some people said they might do this, so if they do, thats what that will be for

I figure, since it's a fully analog stick, the more you press forwards, the faster you move. A lot of people don't get that considering they go about running absolutely everywhere. They keep their stick to the walls and don't realize you can both walk and jog in Halo1.

I dont think they will have a sprint except the boosts of Ghosts and Banshees. Or Bungie may do the D-Pad thing.
