How are you going to be able to boost with the banshee if the left trigger fires the fuel rod cannon?

I think that boosting is only on the Ghost from what I've seen in the movies at gamespot, but I didn't see a banshee though.

it would be hard to move with the right thumbsitck while holding down (a) or (b)... I know it's hard to turn while boosting but it is possible.
And in the game informer issue where they show waterworks, I think, it shoes a banshee flying and it looks to me like it's boosting but im not too sure

I think that having fuel rod as A or B would be fine, you usually aren't doing huge turns while firing that thing anyway.

Remember in assault on the control room, in the big open part where you have the banshee... what if you had 1 health bar left and you needed to get out of a heated situation fast. In halo 1 there were a couple instances like this and supposedly Halo 2 is going to be a lot more chaotic and heated and frenzied...

So we can go kamakazee attacks into bases ofcourse. like, a few meters away from your target, you hit boost, then jump out when it's at maximum speed, then it'll hit, a KABLAMO!!!!!! it fully destroys itself and killed everything in a 20 meter radius. =]

Game Informer, issue 133
Obviously, the warthog made a return, and it was joined by drivable Ghosts and Banshees. Both of these airborne vehicles feature a new boost function:By holding down the left trigger, the engines flare and send you screaming across the level at unheard-of speeds.

they did take home and test the ALPHA version of Halo 2. so it probably will change. but as of now, hold down L to boost in the banshee. Screw fuel rods.

Why the hell would you want the Banshee to boost anyways? It goes fast enough.

You'd want the Boost for evading homing rockets of course or to get away from a base after someone has manned the LAAG turrets.

As for firing the Fuel Rod... there are tons of different means to trigger it. Personally, I'm fond of depressing the right stick, only because it's convenient and I don't have to take my fingers from the stick, leaving me capable of dodging in an emergency.

good point if you had to take your hands off to press another button you're a sitting duck for the new homing rockets.
