Cronin's Law----The New Flood Drinking Game

Most of you know that I like to post schnazzy science articles... Well, instead of making three threads, I figger I'll post them all here at once.

Psychic computers?

No more music CDs?

Them damn quantum dots...

Discuss.

I read all three of them, and I thought they were very ineresting, especially the first one. Just by reading the article, it seems too uncanny to mark off as just a coincedence. Of course, I would have to view the data, or at least a straight interpretation of it to be able to form a true opinion. The digital music article seems true to an extent; it does seem like the new thing, but some people will always prefer a physical format. The quantom dot article was basically over my head, but I understand the idea of nano computers.

The Original 7717 ILBs Posts...

CD's.... are going to be completley and utterly useless. With computers getting larger and larger capacities, running faster and faster, and internet connections growing faster and faster... no one is going to buy CD's.

Psychic compters... Psychlogy is a minor as far as all my college applications are conserned. But this is the exact thing I'm interested in. There is just so much to the mind that we have yet to delve into. I mean... we use it for the basics. Once we find what the other 90% is used for, science is going to have an epic overhaul. And do the boxes que into something such as a flux and meld of the parralle universe theory.

Christ... I can't get my thoughts down fast enough with my finger gauzed up.... cut me bone

Nanotechnology.... bah, it's not going anywhere, scientists have already botched it.

Why doesn't anyone discusse? Slut faces =D...

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

I want an egg!

The quantum dots are a big leap in nanotechnology, imagine all the uses for a machine the size of a micron thats faster than todays computers.

Cool articles Ben.

I found it amusing that there was a linked ad up the top of the quantum dot article advertising "New and used quantum dots". :)

The first article was definitely interesting, though the fact most blackboxes fail in crashes, kept running through my head. It reminds me of Maxwell's demon in a way, which I learned about courtesy of The Crying of Lot 49, as well.
