I guess that would be kinda cool, but I'm not sure. You may have seen the screens of Waterworks, the place is huge! Imagine what you could create, a snipers playground.

yeah, its a good idea. but how many people though a map creator in tony hawk pro skater was a good idea? probably lots. now, be honest, weve all played a tony hawk game once. how many times do you seriously try to create a level??

its not like they will try to put in a super-advanced 3ds-max type program. itll just be like a tony hawk level creator.

Im pretty sure creating levels in halo would be a hell of a lot more fun than creating them in tony hawks. Doubt it would happen, but it would be amazing if it did.

This is one of the reasons why the Xbox's HD is so cool. For stuff like this.

I think it would be a great idea for those of us with some talent to have a map creator. I would love to make maps and trade them online (if I had Live).

How many people have halo for pc? How how many of you that have just ansewred yes have made a mod? Was it any good? Was it hard?

To make a good level is really hard, if it was so easy, all games would be awsome. I vote leave the game making up to the game maker. Plus you really won't get anything that great if your making it on an xbox, you do need a professional modeler. To to mention if bungie has a sever farm for the lightmaps, and they take a long time to make, think of how long it would take to make on a 733mhz intel with 64MB of ram. FOREVER. Ok, so you just take out lightmaps, then it won't look that good and no one will like that that much, so it wouldn't be in there. I vote leave consoles for fun, save computers for fussing. If I want to deal with downloading drivers, upgrading hardware, and downloading mods, i'd get a pc,. But i just want to sit and play a game.

The only real option for making maps on a console is a tile based editor. The one for Time Splitters2 was nice, nothing exceptional, but nice. I made quite a few nice maps there but they have a significant weakness. They all lack subtleties.

I'm just pleased Halo2 is going to have downloadable content. They're already supposed to have twice as many multiplayer maps. Now, add a new map once every two months and I would be quite fine I think.

I think it would awesome to have a level editor, a tile system could work fine. You could have normal blocks in there, be able to rotate any peice using a x/y/z axis. You could put in teleports, all kinda of cool stuff

I think they should because the new Far Cry game for xbox has a level editor and a map making tool.. So it could be done

What also would be awesome would be a fractal terrain generator for exterior maps.
