When you have plenty of time to waste before the game comes out, you think of how they will impliment some of the stuff that they say you can do.

I want to know how they will let you pick up another of the same weapon when walking over it would automatically pick up ammo for the one in your hand. This isn't a problem for plasma weapons, but weapons with ammo should prove interesting. I also noticed that in all the videos I've seen, they were duel wielding different weapons... coincidence?

Dont walk over the weapon. If you want to dual-wield it then stand by it (but not so close that it picks up the ammo) and press the "Y" button

Interesting.... perhaps you will pick up the ammo, but the actual gun will still be there. You can pick it up for duel wielding and then they both run off of the same stockpile of ammo.

nice theory. so why are you asking us?Hmmmm...o_0.

youve actually proven a very good point. the only time you really see someone picking up a second of the same weapon never happens. they either started the video with it or was given to by a marine..

Yes, I guess I did kind of answer my own question. It's almost 4 a.m. in Indiana, and I am getting tired. As for the videos, Bungie probably hadn't locked in a smooth way of doing it yet and hoped nobody would notice.

I was thinking this a few days ago. Glad I wasn't the only one. :)

if you go close you can dual wield, if you go over it becomes ammo for the one gun.
that is the answer, because it is the one that makes sense and is most logical.

Uhm. Guys. Where's the difficulty? You pick up the ammunition, then pick up the empty weapon afterwards. Just hold down the Y button as you pass over it.

I was wondering this a long time until someone finally posted it, but I agree with gunhaver theory but maybe it could be like if you have a smg and there is another smg in the over and you stay over it a message saying press and hold y to dual wield and another one would say press and hold x to pick up ammo something like that
