You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

I absolutely love it. I had gotten out of pc gaming in 2001 and switched to consoles because of halo and now I am back to gaming on pc's because of halo. Everything feels different and yet it isn't. I love what gearbox did and am still amazed. In case anyone cares my specs are 4gb of ram, amd 64x2 6400+ dual core, sapphire 512mb hd video card, windows vista home premium and a panasonic 900u projector. I am getting that old familiar feeling of omg this game rules even though I played through it to many times to count on the console. Sorry for the rant but I just had to get that off of my mind. Carry on people.

You've been missing out. Oh to be back in the days of the dedicated Bungie servers.

Meh, the bungie servers were more of a love hate relationship. On one hand there was ALWAYS a game going on, they had a great rotation, and you always knew someone there. But on the otherhand if someone wanted to cause trouble the #1 place they would go is a bungie server. that and I always pinged 100-133 there.

Very true. Between the IP joining teamkillers and the cheaters and exploiters and the whiny four year olds and the braindead teammates and the afk's, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

scruss, I pity you. I recommend you pick up a copy of Morrowind and even Star Wars Battlefront if you haven't got it for the console. What have you been doing to waste the past seven years of your life???

My intention is to play morrowind. I absolutely loved oblivion on 360 and I know morrowind is 10x better. That past seven years were spend playing halo, call of duty and working on community projects. I have a ton of games I want to play through for PC. Any suggestions would be welcome.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

lol :)

The cheating didn't really infect the Bungie servers until the very end. We had about 2 solid years of fun, minus the direct ip tk kiddies of course. I'm not saying the best people played on the B. servers by any means either, but there was always a handful of veterans playing, so you could split the teams up and get a good game going, or at least get a shee and fly to top of the map on Infinity and sniper the other team at their base. The brutal one was doing that on Timberland. Good times. I still run across people I played with on those servers like 2-3 years ago randomly.

Oh and it didn't hurt that I pinged sub 30 there at times.

Yeah, although he didn't limit himself to the EU servers. Then there were all those wannabes as well.

Heres some not to get: Star Wars: Empire at War, Guild Wars, 2005 World Series of Poker.

PS. If you happen to get Morrowind, make sure to buy the Game of the Year Edition with the expansion packs and the Elder Scrolls Construction Set. Since the game's so old all that's just $20.

Morrowind fan as well here :)

What really surprised me was playing halo trial for 2 years, then playing halo PC and joining these forums and getting xfire and recognizing so many familiar names who had owned me in the past. People like skysquadron and a couple of the HMC guys.

Thus he came alone to Angband's gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to come forth in single combat. And Morgoth came.

Well it's getting old for me, it's still entertaining. But I love Halo 3 on XBox Live.

And I hope you're having fun, also do you play Halo: Custom Edition?

Stand down, lad. Just a quarter of a century late. Those servers, as with those remanants of a past age, are long gone.

*goes looking for a decent nonmodded CTF server with decent ping*

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.
