I have 256mb of ram and i want more so i looked on the internet and found the exact type i need so can i buy a 512mb ram stick to install and have 786mb of ram The only reason i am asking i never knew any one with 786mb of ram lol So is it possible

Yea it will work. It doesnt have to be the exact same ram but it helps prevent errors and stuff. And yes you will have 768mb of ram if you buy it.

If i have 768mb of Ram compared to 256mb how much of a difference will there be in playing halo. Right now i have intel intergated 64mb video card so will the game run faster if i add the 512mb ram

Installing more ram wont help Halo run much better on an intergrated card since the card is still using the same amount of ram anyway. It will keep other things that are running in the background or whatever like virus protection from sapping some of your ram away from your game but it wont improve game play.

But it helps your PC over all so I would still do it.
