Halo 3 to Halo 2 is a just as big as a leap as Halo 2 to Halo 3 was. Know what you are getting into, and don't get pissed if you suck.
I have to agree, it's like two completely different games.
I played my way up to a 42 in Team Objective in Halo 3 pretty fast and then gave up on it. It even made me give up on playing games so my cousin took over my 360. Once in a while I would come over to play LAN there and I could hold my own against the guys there although they're in the 47-50 region, I was far from being the better player though.
Now here's the funny part, whenever we''ve switched to Halo 2, after that I've been nagging about it for an hour or two, I've completely destroyed them. I dont see how two games in the same series that from the looks of things seems to be pretty much the same can be so different from eachother. I personally just feel like Halo 3 lacks the core that made the other Halos good, the precise controls. And that's not an auto-aim issue, it's just that in the prequels it really felt like I was the guy whereas in Halo 3 it just feels like I'm controlling some texture on a screen.
