there definately should be some sort of sprint. Maybe like GTA where you can only sprint for a short amount of time.

has that been proven? cause we havent seen that sprint feature yet in any videos....

in FAQ somewhere is says that there will be a sprint feature, where Master Cheif puts away his weapon and runs at almost twice his normal speed.....or something along those lines

The game magazines are still including it as a feature, along with peeking. One never knows.

i think in a bungie update it says something like MC will start off slow and if you keep moving he picks up speed. so its like a revised sprinting system

yeah peeking i heard about in a magazine as well

you can aparently peek, but not shoot...an awesome idea if you ask me, no Rogue Spear or Counterstrike "quick peak glitching"

i saw how fast they move in the e3 demo but if there is a sprint it should be only for like 5 seconds becuase in mp it could be kinda cheap to like sprinting in a big circle so no one could hit u with a sniper

The peaking is in for sure. If u watch the E3 2003 video (which i have many many times) when him and the ODSTs come across the grunts in the dark hallway thing, he stands next to a corner and peaks at the grunts while the ODSTs frag and clear it.

As for the sprinting feature, i know for a fact it is in for banshees and ghosts as u can see the blue trail behind it in some screen shots.
I also heard that the MC can sprint. He places his gun to his side and can run twice normal speed and cant turn, but can strafe.

yea in halo i hate how ur in a huge multiplayer map like sidewinder and ur just playing with like 3 ppl and all the vehicles are in the middle it takes a while to get one

I sinserely doubt there to be a sprint. Maybe fastter running but not a sprint.

First of all where would the put the botton TO sprint. The controller is packed with other actions. And if you couldnt turn or shoot then it would be pretty useless because its not like you cant get shot.

check out my thread called sprint button. o and there is a place to put it, its called the D-Pad dumba$$ which is probably where they will put the peaking thing.

Maybe u need to read up on Halo 2 more.

You could click in the left analog stick and just give up crouching because it isn't very useful.

crouching is very useful and in this game i read that their will be a lot of stealth in shadows and stuff, and that marines will flip tables to hide behind so u will definately need crouch. I can only hope that when u click crouch, it stays down and u dont have to hold it down.
