1. Fix the sensitivity so all axis's are equally the same speed. Or give the option to adjust the speed of each axis, Y or X.

2. Fix the BR Spread. I suggest using a 3-burst animation for the gun, but in coding only use a single-shot for the damage, similar to the Pistol. Or you could just make each shot come out at the same time or recreate the Halo 2 BR style.

3. Set preset damage for the melee system, similar to the Halo 2 system.

4. Fix the netcode or hitbox inconsistencies. Improve the registration issues.

5. Fix the spawn system, I suggest adding more of a element of randomness to spawn locations, similar to Halo 1.

Please Bungie take a look at these! It would be greatly appreciated!

i would like it if u had no hud game and that u could choose that option on forge and custom making it easier to make machinma in stead of goin into thertre all the time and make it so u can record the voices on it
i no this will never happen but could u make it so you can fly a pelican on the last level of halo3
and bring back clans plz and add dark black for ur characters because u get white and one last thing increase the storage to 200 mapsand clips
and 100 screan shots

Here are my two cents.

First, matchmaking ought to take into account veto frequency when selecting maps (with a lower limit on how low vetoing can drop a map's frequency) so that unpopular maps show up less and less, but they still appear.

Maps shouldn't load, then veto, it should be veto, then load.

The regenerator needs a good in-depth explanation, or a tweaking. In my experience, it never works the same way twice, despite near-identical situations.

High Ground should never be in FFA. *shudders*

Foundry plays poorly in objective gametypes: the action is centered near the spawn points and objective points, so the only time the other half of the map is used is when a team gets a good dominant setup and has someone nab snipers/rocket and bring them back.

Much less VIP frequency in BTB.

More urban maps. We know you can do outdoors, and well, from Valhalla, Standoff, Ghost Town, Guardian, etc.

More than just bombs and flags in objective.

And more variety in DEXP Playlists.

And sprinkle in some Team Eliminatio.


You said so yourself in the now very much missed Humpday Challenge feature:

The Pit plays surprisingly well 8v8 (for a TS game). I'd like to see it added to the hopper of BTB gametypes.

Also, nothing is more annoying in two-flag CTF than when no one has a clue where the flag carrier is. If someone steals your flag, he ought to get a yellow waypoint over his head, in my opinion.

Toggle shield doors... I would almost consider Epitaph and Snowbound if they didnt have the shield doors.

-Less BR spread (not as concentrated as h2 however)

-More Melee Skill ie. Jump Melee causing more damage etc..

-My Country/Continent search restriction option. Allow NA and EU to play separately if they want.

-Map restriction setting before the match. Ex. Let's say a party of 3-4 want to play team slayer. Allow the party leader to select 1 map that team doesn't want to play. Only provide the option when there is a party, and it would be fantastic.

-Film Clip fix, no more 20 minute load when in a party of 2+ people.

-Ability to fast forward films in larger chunks. Similar to the "back" option.

-Rank system change. Ideally, I believe there should be a ceiling at 100 to allow further separation between the ranks. Abandon the true skill ranking system and build from the system that was in place for Halo 2. Winning giving you x amount of points, losing taking away x amount. Use an appreciating type win system, but water it down aka the first 5 levels require 1 win to move up, the next 5 levels require 3 wins. From 11-90, a standard 5 wins for each level, and then the next 5 requiring 7 wins, and the final 5 requiring 9. That would mean that the quickest way to a rank 100 would be 500 straight wins, and people would fall more accurately into their skill range. Change the mix party restriction to a difference of 20 ranks, and don't award more or less points for the teams separation of skill. If people want to boost (two people rank 65 go in with two people rank 1), make the lower level people appear 5 ranks higher than the highest member of the party. Doing all of this would cut down on boosting, rank glitching, new account kids, selling accounts, and make matches more even.

I would like to see more double exp, to have all week. also i would like to see ranked team snipers in the playlists. finally, a playlist that only generals can play and be worth double exp. that would be amazing!!!!

Subject: Ai in Forge!

I think it would be cool that if maybe down the road you could allow some AI in Forge mode so people could make mini Campaigns, and we could launch Brutes with catapults or make puzzles where you have to kill enemies in each new room! That would totally add to the Sndbox experience. Still keep the matchmaking the same but this would allow some sweet machinema and some fun forge options! Maybe for the next game.....

Well apart from a community content hopper there is not much that needs to be changed/added. I know alot of people complain about alot of little things but the fact is Halo 3 is almost perfect. I would like to see a few small changes being made. The first one is fairly serious but the others are more "in a perfect world" ideas and suggestions.

1)The Filters in the legendary map pack do not work properly. - i added two filters to blackout and took the most amazing screenshot I'd ever seen. It was beautiful. But when i tried to look at it in my gallery the screen shot looks nothing like what it does in the film, it was ugly and over exposed. I don't know how easy it would be to fix this though.

2)Different foundry layouts in matchmaking. - i think it would be extremely cool if every month the layout of foundry was changed and not announced, just slipped into matchmaking. Each month a member of Bungie could create a map and put it into matchmaking. They shouldn't make anything too complicated or gimmicky like you'd find at forge hub just re-arrange the current layout to give some variety.

3)MORE FREQUENT BUNGIE PODCASTS!

4) Foundry v2 - Foundry is great and i love forging it but i would like a larger canvas to work on. eg higher ceilings, get rid of those pesky cranes and make the walls perfectly flat instead of that slight flare. This is not really important as i'd much rather see brand new maps instead.

6) A ranked CTF playlist - mainly multi flag but you could have all kinds of variations such as One flag or Classic (your flag has to be home to score).

5) Finally I'd like to see a weekend playlist for Grenades: regenerating grenades, pistol primary weapon, plasma pistol for secondary, normal scoring, free for all.

Sorry for the large post (WOT) but i got carried away and rather exited.

I know my single post won't have any effect on what goes on, but these are just a couple of things I could think of.

In forge, a lock of some sort for objects, such as a 90/180/270/360 degree rotation option on all axises: too often I fight with the map controls to get a certain object straight (i.e. walls, barriers, window panels) and it is quite irritating when the end result gives me one straight wall and then one that is slightly leaning to the side. Otherwise, Forge is an amazing tool for map editing.

In Matchmaking, (I know other people have stated this opinion) a Snipers Playlist on ranked would be quite adequate for many people's purpose. We only want to snipe and be sniped. Whats wrong with that? :)

Also in Matchmaking, pairings, in my opinion, should not be by skill level, but rather Exp and how you play (Hows you tend to die, tool of destruction, etc: if this were even possible). My first match on Head-to-Head resulted in my matching with a General with about one and a half my experience in about the same amount of games. I'm not the best player, I'll admit, but just because he had the same level as me in the playlist, does not mean we are equal in skill.

In SWAT, seriously, Swatguns? What? While funny when you shotgun someone from a mile away, it just shows no skill whatsoever. Can't we just stick with BR's and Magnums?

More maps would be amazing, but as a animator myself (Not great, but it's a hobby) I can understand why animating these maps takes so long: they are great in detail, and as my friends and I were commenting, most everything we see outside of the map is rendered, in both matchmaking and campaign.

While there are a lot of relatively minor issues that could be improved on in Halo 3 I find that there is only one fundamental problem that stops me having fun, and that is that I am frequently forced to play either gametypes or maps that I don't enjoy.
As a player I should never be forced to play something that isn't fun for me. While the veto system goes someway to addressing this problem it clearly hasn't fixed it.

Not being able to select my map or gametype forces me into a situation where when I get a game in matchmaking that I don't enjoy I have the choice to either play approximately 10 minuets of a game that I won't find fun or quit the game and ruin my team mates experiences. It's a fundamental problem that inevitably results in less fun for somebody.

It's frustrating, it's a waste of my time and I don't enjoy it. And ultimately it's what stops me playing Halo.

That said, I find the Halo 3 matchmaking system is easily the best of any title that I have played on Live with all other titles proving inevitably frustrating and amateur in comparison. And while I understand that this current matchmaking system allows for quicker match-ups it is still fundamentally flawed.
It's made even more frustrating by the fact that the game that you've built underneath this infrastructure is infinitely fun. The decision to force unwanted matches on people goes against all that is good game design as it forces dissatisfaction on the player and destroys all the excellent game design work that you've done on the actual game.

I fear that if this problem isn't sorted out for Halo 3 then I might stop playing it all together because while the underlying game is fun I often find the experience decidedly not.


My idea to fix this issue would be some form of 'Matchmaking Preferences' menu that could be accessed while online that would list on one side all of the current maps available and on the other side all of the current gametypes, each with a tick box next to them. You could un-tick any maps or gametypes that you don't like and in turn matchmaking would exclude you from any searches that included that map/gametype.
That way everybody would always get a game that they wanted to play and would never have to play maps or gametypes that they didn't like. If you don't like Isolation you'd never have to play it, don't like playing Swords in Lone Wolves? It'd never come up for you.

This menu would be integrated into the current hopper based system instead of replacing it and as such matchmaking would remain largely the same, just with all of the frustration removed. While it may be slightly slower to get a game, I'd be willing to wait a bit longer if I knew that the game I was going to get would be one that I enjoyed, and for people who don't mind what they play then they'd just leave all maps & gametypes in the default position of all ticked (like how matchmaking is now).

I'm aware that realistically you're not going to do a significant overhaul of any of the game's core systems mid way through its life-cycle, least of all to something as complex as the matchmaking system. But it seems to me that this wouldn't require a labour intensive overhaul and could be implemented in the same way that excluding people from searches based on their rank is now.
As I say I'm not sure how flexible your matchmaking system is but it seems that if something like this could be implemented then everybody would get the best of both worlds with the seamless hassle-free experience of the current matchmaking set up but without all of it's flaws.

we need more city style maps ones that have been destroyed by covinent space fleet huge plasma cannons gouges throught a city block crashed planes wrecked warthogs pelicans phantoms wraiths ect... bodies or corpes flood rot spreading from street to street basements filled with floood style poors and mists haze in the atmosphere ect a realy wrecked verson of head long would be cool or stalingrad / berlin type setup......


we need a master play lists anyone getting tired of 8 0n 8 games i am ever seen clans with +20 000 memebers this ones for you guys we need a play list that consits of super huge maps and super huge teams 32 VS 32 sounds intersting have it so the playlists dont load players have them join or leave at any given time play lists like bergade slayer 1000 kills for the team to win with time limit ,bergade objective plant bombs at sam sites bases and ammo depot you can send two teams of twleve out and defend base with eight have a ghost recpon playlists were every member on team has ghosts or choppers biker wars..... just hink of the fun and the mayhem i know it sounds like medal of honor just a bit but hey who can resist the attempts to try and pull off another sniper rampage with 102 kills and didnt die once the i had to get ammo several times during this feat on moh:aa pc version -blam!- was the name



.. also what is need is a DOUBLE XP week end flood controll nothing but scores of flood running at players in a ten minute round who kills the most who dies the most only one human can win the XP

another double Xp idea is griftball varient call speed ball ever play paintball every play tourniment style paintball nothing like you have ever seen foot ball with guns no building to hide in losse cover placed in simetrical positions and the setups are limitless just straight rushing plays "game works better with no sheilds

In theory, posting this thread was a good idea wasn't it? You thought "I guess we can see what can make H3 the best possible FPS for the 360." But were you prepared for all of this? From the THREE pages I read, I saw enough changes for a new game. I can understand that some of the things we want are unreasonable. For instance, be able to vote on maps posted by tony the tiger would be good...in theory. In TS if a clan of 4 (red team) meets up with 2 clans of 2 (blue team), the clan of 4 can vote for what their best at, and the other team will either A: Be screwed because one clan of 2 wants one option and vice-versa. Or B: Concentrate their votes on one choice and wind up having the computer choose at random between the options anyways.
1v1 hopper, reduce the weight of crazy king and also I am sick of having my cover blown with a red arrow over my head. There is no arrow on team doubles and people haven't complained. I always thought swords were more for stealthy attacks, so get rid of the flipping arrow!
I also read 4 of each grenade. That means, when you are low on shields, just get into cover and start recharging, a slew of grenades comes down like the worlds most dangerous rain. I think people are going to start saying to get rid of that.
When you get hijacked, realistically, you wouldn't just stand there, you would go for help. But with the current settings, you are a sitting duck.
I like the idea of a snipers playlist and obviously, it isn't impossible to create a playlist (not saying I could lol).
We have forge. With all the new maps, this feature is amazing. But for the older maps, all we could really do was move vehicles and weapons. And sometimes give access to more places. Some of us want, what was mentioned before, a map made just for designing levels, I know that was the idea of foundry. Make it a big square with literally every detail, except possibly the barriers, editable. Now I know that this would be your second biggest project yet, next to the game of course, but it may save halo 3 from spiraling into the shadows of COD4 and GOW (Soon to be GOW2).
Personally I think halo 3 is 4/5. From my experiences I am tired of little kids playing the game. I am not technically old enough to play Halo. But I don't ruin the game for everyone, I am a good teammate. I listen to people, I am pretty good (usually first or second on the team), I don't pick on people unless they pick on me first. And all I want to do is play the game! I don't want 8-year old's with names like "Poopmonster" and other potty jokes invading on my fun! Thank you, Shadow Heir1

Take away Equipment.
Get 10,000 gallons of gas, use it to set fire to Foundry and sent it straight to HELL.
Create smaller maps with more lines of sight for proper setups.

Also I believe that it is nearly impossible to save your game. The amount of updates required is enough to make Halo 3.14159...Its not exacly a piece of pi.

First off, Halo 3 great game!

I would simply like to see some more downloaded content such as new colors, it would be awesome if you could bring black back from H1.

Some work on the veto system would be awesome also, first see what the map is and then see game type then veto, then load game. That way there is less loading time and more Halo 3 time.

For me halo 3 campaign wasn't nearly as fun as Halo 2 was. Just because you guys fixed most if not all the glitches from campaign mode. It was enjoyable to jump around and skip half the level, or gain unfair sniper advantage points on the covenant. Not to sound like a little sh** or anything. If its possible to add some new H3 campaign levels that would be tight, or maybe even fix the final boss "spark" at the end and make him more difficult to kill based on what difficulty you are playing on. I'm sure as downloaded content you could mass sell it. I would certainly buy it.
