FIX THE BR SPREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really makes the skill gap change a lot. Also many of your fans are switching to other games (i.e. Shadowrun) because of this. The people who are going to last in the community will be a lot of competitive gamers. This BR spread will keep MLG and other gaming leagues to know for sure this is the game that requires the most skill IF they ever doubted it.

More snipers, better BR spreed, 3v3 gametype, fire grenade, BRING BACK SOME OLD MAPS LIKE ASCENSION, in matchmaking try and match people up better, seriously there are about 15,000 players sometimes and my team gets paired up with like 49's and 50's and we are only 45's. THE LEVELING UP SYSTEM IS REALLY UNFAIR, a 1 who has no experience plays one game and levels up to 6 but a 45 with A LOT of experience takes sometimes 5-7 games to level up one level

I'd like to see the br spread fixed im tired of losing a br fight cause 1 of my 3 burst shot didn't hit. Melee it was improved but I would like to see a halo 2 melee system, like if I beat someone down in the head they lose there all there shields not just one whack and no shields. I'm not sure if they could do this but increase the speed of melees when your holding a ball/flag I miss those crazy plays that you could make in halo 2 some where pretty intense. A slight increase in sniper auto aim with zoom and less recoil so u can actually get two sniper shots off before you take 4 br shots. Lower the hill wall indicator cause we know where the boundries of the hill are and I would like to have a less impaired view. Also unsure if they could do this but make it so the flag will bounce a little bit and not just be like magnetised to the floor. Can't think of anymore at the moment but I edit to incorparate into this post.

And everyone should get recon armor.
Was joking about the armor but I'm serious about the rest.

While I don't necessarily have a problem with the BR spread (especially with 110% damage settings ala the MLG playlist) the numerous responses within this thread has made it quite clear that this is one of the main issues that Bungie may need to address at some point. I'm very interested to see Shishka's take on this and whether or not a change of this sort is actually a realistic possibility.

I think halo 3 is an awesome game, probably one of the best games ever made, but it does have it problems. The spawns could definitely be improved. It is unfair for someone to spawn right next to the other team or across the map from their own team. Head to head needs a lot of work. There should be waypoints on everyone's head all the time. In team slayer and team doubles, the match ups should be much much closer. If there are 40000 people online in a playlist, I should be able to play someone who is very very close to my skill and rank. And the ranking system is extremely flawed. I should not win ten games in a row in a single playlist and not level up. That's ridiculous. THATS SO FRUSTRATING. Other than that, great game.

Everyone doesn't like the BR Spread.

This is different then the other halo's, and harder to master. Maybe to tighten the spread a bit, and reduce a bit of the randomness would be a more realistic option.

Also, I fire rockets that disappear. this bothers me very much. I would like to see that changed.
There's also a bit of randomness that i don't like spread throughout the game, however, it may more realism to the game, i feel it detracts from the halo. For example, when firing a rocket at opponents, nades alter the original path of the rocket; so instead of the rocket hitting your opponent, the rocket 180's and hits you in the face. Mind you, you fired the rocket. (true story, happened to my 2v2 partner op1, i saw it happen, as he was on my screen) Rockets were an integral part of halo1, as the games involved rotating around the map as powerups/rockets came back. When Rockets are deflected by something as, common(i think that's the word im looking for) as grenades, it takes away from the importance, or clutchness of rockets. I mean, it doesn't have to be like halo1, but this addition of physics give the game a feel that is not of halo to me.

Also, I think the shot speed of the BR should be looked at.
As MLG changes the speed of the game to 110%, i feel as if the shot speed lags behind. Could there be an option to change it? I mean, i doesn't need to be as instantaneous as the sniper rifle, however, i don't know, it just doesn't feel as smooth as the br does on 100%, and i feel as if that's because the game was designed with 100% player speed in mind.

Lastly, Hit registration really bothers me, and I think it's because of the way the host world interacts with the others'. I think various solutions can be proposed to fix this problem, i don't know about you guys, but on lan as well as xbl i put shot's into people that make blood fly, or that don't register and something flashes.
1) dedicated bungie hosts? why can't bungie change the way that we connect to games with bungie's own dedicated servers solely for halo?
2) I this is more of a competitive idea in order to get rid of the host advantage/ make halo more a spectator sport. During system link, host should be always dedicated to the monitor player that is not able to be hit with some sort of ghost like characteristic(that way the monitor could not interfere with game play) Players join the monitor player's game, and that takes care of host on lan.
These are all just some of my ideas, however i've been playing halo competitively since shortly after it's conception, well before MLG had ever even been created. Nevertheless, I guess you can consider an MLG player, as i like br start and all of they're rule changes except for 110% damage (100% takes more skill, to hit all of your shot's its harder to do)

Tighten Br spread

Arena style maps: (Please refrain from putting useless pretty things on the maps)

Networking: (I hate that you cant choose who has host in customs, it picked me over my friends when i live in alaska with the second slowest dsl connection possible...It looked like standby)

Bring back the ability to here and talk to the other teams in matchmaking: Even though talking smack isnt nice, it is still very useful in competitive environments. Getting in your opponents head is very important.

The game seems to lack the friendly fun halo 2 had, because how hard it is to get in games with friends.

I know it was a glitch but i miss quick reloading, and bxb, bxr, doubleshot.
More or less I think I just miss the overall speed of the game.

Oh ya and also please take away a few playlists, because the population is to spreadout, please GOD DO NOT take out MLG

Yes, exactly Lunten.
The BR spread isn't horrible, but it could use a tightening, to make it closer to the spread of the H2 BR.
Also, a "option" to turn off/on a flag touch return would be nice. That way, competitive gamers will be happy, as well as others.
Make the bomb arming similar to it was in H2, as well. I don't know how to explain it really, but it was so much more competitive when you had to hold the bomb on the arming point for 5 seconds, 10 seconds, etc., in order for it to arm.
And yeah, the bullet registration could use a fixing too.

MM Wise: MLG 2v2 playlist would be nice! :)

br spread should be a little tighter and the hitboxes are sometimes off i notice i snipe someone in the head and i only get a body shot or as someone tuns a corners and you barely clip them and you see blood come out, theres no damage done,and the occasional blatantly hitting them and nothing happenening. making sure were up to date on mlg have the mlg playlist with the V5 settings and having the new setting each time a new one comes out still making sure levels arent reset and an mlg doubles list which would be the same thing as mlg just with no koth but still with flag and ball. And fix head to head get rid of the waypoint indicator it ruins the whole mechanics of the game it should be radar 15 kills with the mlg setting on mlg maps just i feel its unfair with the waypoint indicator , such as playing on guardian they key is tricking and sneaking against your opponent to get the edge and get the kill if they know where you are at all times its gone

A new forge canvas, that is bigger than foundry.

Understandably these maps take time and effort to make, but we'd all be pleased im sure with just a big grey empty room. Its not really necessary to make it as pleasing ot the eye as foundry is. Also presumably if you cut back on detailed artwork then we could have a bigger allowance for boxes and items on the map?

Tightened BR spread please. I'm not saying the BR isn't OK right now, but from a competitive point of view, I think it should work a little more like the H2 BR did.

Also, there have been complaints about shots on LAN not regestering. I can understand if its online. but when you're playing LAN for that much money, you want everything to be fair and work.

I have more, but this is what would truly make H3 better (in my opinion). As well as maybe a couple replica maps ;).Maybe Midship or Beaver Creek.

please tighten the br spread plz, also we need better/smaller maps with more thought on gamplay rather then graphics/looks. Lastly please add some sort of skillful addition to the up close game in halo 3 cause right now it takes no skill (maybe more damage cause by running slash jumping or more damage for hitting the head.)
