a new forge map-> empty space so if people fall they die-> for forging objects should automatically float where theyre placed to make a map it would help for like ascension remakes where everyone ends up running around under the map instead of playing in the map

It would be great to have some kind of custom matchmaking -> someone who wants people to play their map hosts a custom and they need another person, why cant someone who wants to play a custom go into the matchmaking and end up in someones custom?

id also like less br spread, no lead shots, and maybe clan matches

13-make snowbound always have a ghost not a mongoose
14-whenever you get shot by an enemy a little bit and you fall of an edge it shouldnt say they killed you
15-put a troop hog in matchmaking and make all seats able to ride
16-bring back weapon lowering
17-put more stickies on maps
18-make an empty map bigger than foundry
19-put a chopper on vallhalla
20-you should be able to get a perfection on capture the flag as long as you get 15-0 kills

increased walking speed everywhere, and bring the power up slightly on dual wieldable weapons so they're actually worth picking up again , which will drastically improve the tacticalness of the game, also the original chat from halo 2 , the game seems deathly quiet now, "IN HALO 3 NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM", oh and not forgetting the beta tripmine it was awesome, if flare is returned is there a way to make it affect only the opossing team/players, and the same goes for the radar jammer this will improve thier usefulness also what about downloading your stats and medal chest from bungie.net to your xbox, and your could update it at your own leisure if you wanted .

How about letting us veto BEFORE we have to wait for the map to load.
We waste time waiting for a map to load, only to have it vetoed...ant then have to wait AGAIN for the new map to load.

Lower AR starts significantly, or reduce it's power. The range on that weapon is obscene, as is the accuracy at mid-range. If some chump charges you, it's a case of pull the trigger then tap B, and you get a kill.

The spawning system is a bit odd in a few maps. Standoff is far to easy to get spawntrapped in (warthog kills people in front of the base, then circles around the back, causing the spawn to shift back to the front).

Another map that needs looking at is Isolation-I frequently spawn directly behind, or get someone spawning right behind me, especially up at the top area. Guardian has occasional odd spawns, but not as bad as those two.

Put the MLG Foundry maps into other playlists, like Slayer and Lone Wolves. No offence, but your version of Foundry is a total mess of power weapons. Onslaught and Amplified are brilliant, and well balanced, and it would be great to see them in there.

But yeah, sorry for the wall of text, but the AR needs tuning or removing, and a couple of spawnpoint issues need a bit of tweaking.

Forge would be so much easier if you could lock things in air (Although I already found a glitch to do so without restarting the game but still the items will spawn at that point and fall to the ground unless it's a bridge or teleporter etc.) and if you could type in the angle and position you want an object that would help to to more precise. In custom games you should make a setting on reload speed. Also, rewind in theater would be nice.

I would like to see Head to Head with no power weapons and two waypoints to make it fair. I've played tons of 1v1s and their one of my favorite types of games, but sadly the Head to Head playlist disappointed me. Two waypoints wouldn't have camping, would be fair for the leader and the loser at all times, and the matches would go very quick because they both know where the other is. If you did that, removed power weapons (except maby a Sniper Rifle or two), and tweaked the gametypes and maps just a bit, you'd have one of the best playlists EVER and I'd play it a LOT!

H3 needs bigger multiplayer maps w/ bigger vehicles (pelican)

No it doesn't the game already has tons of noob friendly massive maps in Avalanche, Valhalla, Sandtrap, Standoff, Rats Nest and Last Resort.

Smaller arena type maps are needed for 4v4 games such the size of Warlock, Sanctuary, Beaver Creek, Midship, Lockout, Ivory Tower and so on.

- when everyone in the matchmaking lobby has vetoed the game and map, cancel the countdown and move on to the next option straight away instead of having to wait.
- firebomb grenades in selected matchmaking playlists.
- take all the game types out of lone wolves except slayer and BR's. i dont think the skill level is fair when you know you could beat everyone in a slayer game and you end up playing oddball, crazy king or swords (which many players dont like playing because of the button bashing lack of skill involved).
- new armour packs for spartans and elites
- gauss warthogs in matchmaking
- keep the new maps coming
- ranked sniper playlist

i was thinking there sould be a new online missions for halo 3 and also when in co-op u play as your spartan instead of the the elites or the chief also u should be able to change your lower amor for the body of both spartan and elite that would be very sweet!!!!!!!!! thanks bungie!

There are a lot of people on here who want the game changed to better fix their shortcomings with so called "no skill weapons". Learn to use them, jeez. It's a skill to do so...

That being said, my only complaint: The tripmine is too weak. Please strengthen it so it does what it was meant to do: Strike fear into the hearts of those driving vehicles.

The only thing i would change is the option to veto a map and not a gametype or a gametype and not a map. Like press Y to veto gametype press X to veto map press B to veto both

And if you dont like that idea do a voting system. Where they give you three maps with gametypes and which everone gets the most votes by pressing X,Y,B is the one you play and just get rid of the whole veto system.

What up wid it vanilla face?

First, I want to thank you guys for taking the time and making the effort to listen to this thread. It shows your dedication to the game and the players and that is definately worth some applause.

I have read most of the posts and my suggestions have been covered but I will list them again. Feedback is appreciated.

1. The veto system should have more options. One person suggested the option to veto the map AND/OR vetoing the game type. I'm excited to play TS4v4 on Blackout, only to get Team Rockets. I want to play Blackout, just not necessarily Rockets.

2. There are an incredible ammount of talented Forgers out there and having a Spotlight Playlist of a couple selected maps would be a great pat on the back for those guys. Some of the maps and gametypes are incredible, and they need some spotlight outside of Bungie.net.

3. Nothing is mor annoying than Spawn Killers. I think a 2 second invulnerability to get your bearings would be nice. Except in types like Grifball ofcourse.

4. I agree that the Trip Mines should be a tad more powerful, and including the other equipment like Radar Jammers and Flares would be a nice way to mix up the gameplay.

5. Obviously we all want new maps, there is no question about that. Give us a sneak peak at what we can expect with pictures rather than vague transmission excerpts. Even something to get the community to talk more about them would be great.

6. The weapon balance is nice, but we are missing some of the weapons. Even if you kept it to the social matches, I still want to shoot flying boogers from a Fuel Rod every once in a while.

7. Team Snipers should be a continuing playlist, mostly so it takes them out of the other playlists. Too many people want to play them to just have the variant randomly thrown into a Ranked TS match here and there.

8. Being able to view your entire Service Record, including medal chests, should be an option through the game, not left to just Bungie.net.

9. Like the new maps mentioned previously, not a single person would complain about new Armor Perms. I do like the idea of getting perms for certain achievements, i.e. when you become a General you should get a helmet to show that off, even if it excites people to engage in some good ol' fashioned "Smear the -blam!-".

10. My only other suggestion is just to clean up the little annoyances. For example, when you get a majority veto, instead of waiting for the countdown to finish just go ahead and change it. Also, instead of loading the map first, vetoing and loading a whole new map next... just show us the option, wait to see if it's vetoed, then change at that point rather than loading and re-loading.

Overall, this game is in my opinion the most enjoyable to play on Live. I believe that most of that is because of the community and the focus that you folks at Bungie have on the community. You have created a game with virtually endless options and that will keep players around for years to come. Lukems, Shishka etc... if you are reading this, give us your overall feedback in regards to what you have read here please, we are all very interested in what your thoughts are.

Edit: One more thing... Play as your customer model in Campaign. Obviously that would mess with the cutscenes, but I hate starting as an Elite in 4 player Co-Op.

1) The ability to choose between AR starts and BR starts in Team Slayer.

So it would be Ranked > Team Slayer > Either AR starts or BR starts. But for your current slayer rank to remain, with the same rank for both variants.

If not, BR should be made a starting weapon in TS.

2) Less power and range for the Assault Rifle. The needler's power and accuracy needs some down grading as well.

3) Improve the spawn system. Spawning in front of an enemy or in the middle of a BR battle isn't fun.

4) Maybe a sort of "Pot Luck" play list. Where things such as Shotty Snipers, Rockets, Team Snipers etc... If not, maybe a Team Snipers play list.

5) In MLG play list allow the ability to have 4 frag grenades and 4 plasma grenades.

6) Take onslaught and Amplified and give them a more 'professional' look. But with no changes as they are pretty damn good maps.

7) Improve the ranking system. I played a good few matches, winning most and got to level 39. Lost and went straight back down. Make it so it doesn't just look at wins and loss', should take in to account MVP, kill/death spread, medals etc...

8) Trip mine needs to be a lot stronger. A Warthog should not be able to survive if it drives over a trip mine. Also, add it back to Valhalla with improved power

9) Remake Midship and with future map packs create more symmetrical and/or arena style maps.

10) In games with AR starts, there must be more BR's and/or Carbines. Guardian for example, only has 2 BR's and one Carbine I believe.

11) Remove Foundry, Epitah and Snowbound from ranked play lists.

12) Improve the hit detection, some shots on players just don't register.

13) The idea of vetoing just the game type or just the map is a good idea. Maybe X for map and Y for game type.

Maybe Bungie should try talking to the guys over at MLG, they seem to know how to make a good game type.

I agree with this, I know more than once, I've walked away from the tripmine, because it requires so much work to get it to work. You had better hope a vehicle is already damaged...

I think new medals and achievements would be a good addition to Halo 3.

1. Reduce damage of AR and make more BR starts.
2. Ranked sniper playlist (like halo 2).
3. Increase the number of small maps played in Team Slayer I'm tired of playing Standoff 5 times in a row, I would like to play some Guardian or Construct every once in a while.
4. Please fix the BR spread, its annoying when one time I four shot a person and another it takes my whole entire mag.
5. Take out the DLC list and try to have less playlists to decrease the amount of time needed to find a match.
6. Have an original map pack, bring back warlock, hang em high, midship, etc.
7. Also make smaller maps for more competitive people who don't want to get killed by a noob in a warthog.
8. Have a player map choice and gametype system. Use the D-Pad buttons in order to chose and also you can change your choice if you would like. (Have a 1-1.5 second delay for those people who want to be -blam!- and change their choice)
9. If #8 cannot be done then at least let us have a choice to veto the map or the gametype
10. Clans would be nice or a way to keep track of your Halo 3 friends and mass invite would also be welcome
11. The spawning system also needs some work or there just has to be more spawns on the maps
12. Decrease the time between sniper shots so it can shoot faster and also decrease the timelimit for power weapons by 15 seconds or more
13. Decrease the size of the blue box in the middle of your screen when a game starts because it gets in the way, especially when you are playing on the pit and rushing rockets
14. Increase the damage of grenades or at least their damage radius
15. Decrease the delay to take out the sword and also make the sword unlimited like halo 2, it makes the weapon more coveted and not a sissy weapon like it now is
16. Allow for custom binding of buttons so that you can have left bumper as jump and x as reload, they have this in PC games and I do not see a problem with it in halo 3
17. Really nothing else I can think of just thank you for listening to the community and keep on doing what you are doing

WARNING: WALL OF TEXT AHEAD

this is probably one of those things that you guys won't be able to change, but i just thought i'd throw it out there anyway, just in case:

secondary color. it's cool, but putting it on the shoulders ruined everything. most people have their emblem background the same color as there secondary color so that it matches. that's fine in the pregame lobby, but in the game you can only see the emblem, since the color of the shoulder is the same as the color of the emblem background. so pretty much, your emblem in pregame lobby is going to be different then your emblem in the game because it's on the shoulder. i kno it's one of those small things that no one really cares about, but it's really starting to annoy me. one of the main reasons i loved halo 2 so much was because the customization was practically flawless, other than the emblem background not showing up on your player model. you guys fixed that in this game, which is great, but changed the secondary color placement and that pretty much brought you back to square one.

i'm sure you guys have explained why you did it somewhere, and i'm sorry for bringing this up if you have, but you asked what you could improve on, so i answered lol.

i have to say though, i've actually started going halo 1 style and setting my secondary color to the same as my primary so that it wouldn't cause me problems, but now that just leaves my emblem and armor detail color to give my armor any "flavor". seriously, if you brought it back to how it was in H2, it would be amazing and now completely flawless.

edit: oh, and just a few other things:
1. lowering weapon on xbl. honestly, bungie, no ones gonna take the time to press left bumper, right bumper, hold down left stick, press a, and hold down on the d pad for 3 seconds in order to BXR someone. i dont even see why it would do that in the first place.
2. give the trip mine more power.
3. bring back the flare and radar jammer on the maps you took it away from. maybe tweak them a bit so that it benefits the person who uses it though.
4. death barriers. completely unnecessary. if someone actually manages to get passed 2 push barriers and an invisible wall in matchmaking without getting killed, they deserve to win. honestly, the only way to get past half of that stuff is in forge or theater mode, so it really just kills us (literally) to make it all the way there just to die after 3 seconds (or instantly sometimes).
i mean, one of the funnest things in halo 1 and 2 was to get out of the maps and explore. during the last days of halo 2, thats pretty much all my friends and i ever did because it was so fun. in halo 3, you gave stuff to mlg people with forge, machinima people with theater, and gamers in general by balancing everything out and adding new stuff, but you took away from the glitchers/explorers that liked to get out of the maps. remember when you said that "anything you can see is real and you can get to it"? well, i'm sure that's true, but at least LET us get to it! i remember on tsavo highway my friend and i found a way to get out of the map, and we walked towards the forerunner ship for about 3 minutes before being abruptly stopped 3/4 of the way there by an invisible wall, which was backed up by a death barrier. :(
i know you can't change the maps that we have now, but maybe do something about it for the next map pack?

edit2: GAH! sorry i forgot something else! what happened to all the custom settings from halo 2? why did you take out a bunch of weapons for the "starting weapon" list? i have a map and gametype that's supposed to have zombies spawn with fuel rods, but since that's not an option i had to resort of placing one under their spawns! luckily there's only 4 zombie spawns (cuz theres only 4 fuel rods to place on the map), but still sometimes people don't notice and just go around trying to win with a plasma pistol (what i had to resort to).

also, fix the spawns on foundry. i kno everyone's said that already, but that's just how much they need to be fixed.

I doubt that this post will recieve much (if any attention), but a minor problem that has become increasingly annoying for me are the attic spawns on The Pit. I don't understand why players should spawn in an area that is difficult for other players to reach. MLG was able to remove attic spawns without disrupting the rest of the spawns, and I don't see any reason why attic spawns couldn't be taken out of the rest of MM. I have not yet encountered anyone that enjoys playing against a team (mainly in doubles) that just sits in their attic after a lucky spawn. It seems to me like it would be an easy thing to fix...

I don't know if you've covered the idea of bringing in new weapons to Halo 3, but I think a flash grenade would be pretty sweet. Just blind some people within 10 foot radius instead of the flare effect where it blinds you if you walk into it.. Also have a way to undo things in forge.
