Please decrease the damage that is inflicted by a melee. Maybe make it so it takes you to half shields from one melee, and three melees to kill. It's just ridiculous how it is now.

Team Snipers playlist with Human and Covenant snipers.

I also think it'd be cool if there was more armor to achieve from what rank you've gotten, like getting the next rank without getting a grade 2 should result in a new set of armor for each higher rank, that would be a nice extra.

Less frequency of Swatguns on SWAT because it's a great game type but shotguns are inconsistent and it's hard to have a game of this as fair as only battle riffles, but keep the frequency of it higher than magnums.

Bungie so far you guys pretty much hit the spot on the story in halo 3, a lot of the people just missed the things in story mode that made it special, for multilayer online play, you screwed it up pretty badly, one thing i know that is going come to matchmaking is team snipers, which a lot will love, but also, in halo 2 every item you could use in the game was playable in matchmaking but in halo 3 we don't get to see the radarjammer, and the firebomb grenade and others that would really make matchmaking more unique from other games, and the rank big team thing was the perfect thing I always hated being stuck with gusts thats didn't know how to play. another one is add more fun matchmaking games similar to that racing one, that would be good to play for a change.

One of the things that would be a good thing is make version 2 of every map over time so we can have a change of maps in matchmaking so one time I'm playing team slayer on Guardian and than another time I'm playing team player on Guardian V.2.

Another tip, try to get rid of a few matchmaking games that is really low on play like multi team so theres more focus on the other games like Rank Big Team which you are having current troubles with because of the shortage of players.

I think the trip mines shouldn't be as obvious to spot. Reduce the light on top of it or get rid of the beeping sound, because they are pretty much useless. And even if someone does walk over it it isn't powerful enough to kill them so what's the point of them unless you are camping?

Campiagn Kill Count :31,745. And growing.

The Revisionaries- One of the greatest screenshot groups on B.net. With 250 members and growing.

- A very close or exact remake of Coagulation/Blood Gulch would be great. I still go back to Halo 2 just for that map.

- A Team Snipers Playlist with a Sniper Rifle as your primary weapon, and a Beam Rifle as your secondary. Having the pistol allows for people to use less skill when trying to get close for the kill. If you can't implement the Beam Rifle in, then make it Human Sniper only. As long as it has infinite ammo, then it shouldn't be a problem.

- A much better hit-detection sytem. Seriously, I don't know why poeple haven't mentioned it yet. I hate it when my opponent is shot, and nothing happens. When you are in a tense firefight, every bullet counts. I hate having to hope that my bullets will really hit him, or if I will keep having to empty my clip until enough shots are counted for him to die. And it's not completely lag, because it happens to me too. And on local.

- Lag. There isn't a ton, for me anyway, but the little things would be nice to be rid of. Like how poeple will occasionally show up somewhere, and then be somewhere else the next second. It gets old after a while.

- BETA trip mine. It actually served a purpose, and destroyed vehicles and killed people. Now it's just a really bad grenade that sits until something comes near it.

- Three hit kill beatdown. That would make Halo less like Smackdown and more of a FPS. People will always run in for the kill as soon as they can, and not even use the guns they have. It's stupid that a direct grenade blast hurts as much as punching someone. The only things that should stay a two hit kill are the Brute Shot and the Spiker, because of the blades/ bayonet.

- The Grav Hammer should have the old melee system, because Hammerzeit is now just a bunch of people dying at the same time.

- Campaign Film Clips. 'Nuff said. Along as with the ability to rewind your campaign films. I am tired of having to watch ten minutes again and again to see a part that I missed.

- More smoke in Frag Grenades. There was in Halo 2, and people wouldn't throw as many because they weren't entirely sure of the damage they did with their grenade. So they would wait before throwing another, because it could turn out to be completely useless. This woudl make for less grenade spamming in Halo 3. I think, anyway. If I'm wrong about why they spam more grenades now than they did, please try to figure it out and make it more like how it used to be. Explosions are cool, but you should be using your gun.

- BR spread, but don't change it into H2's autoaim. Also, weaken the AR a little bit, or make the reticle a lttle bigger, making it a tad more innaccurate.

- Possibly a classic map mack, like someone mentioned, with about 3-5 old maps. I don't care about that as much though. Unless Beaver Creek was in it. :D.

- Similar to the V-Day thing, maybe you could add a Swordament, which would be a 7 person FFA with only swords. Recon could also be awarded to people who do cool things, or get a lot of a certain medal. I think this would be cool, despite how long it could take to put it together. It's also been a good 3 and a half months (about) since the V-Day thing, and something similar to it would be a lot of fun.

-Campaign DLC would be cool, a level with a setting that takes place between two levels. And possibly you could use those extra 250 points you are allowed for campaign achievments, since almost no one is inclined to play it anymore. Maybe one for beating a level SLASO. ( Solo Legendary all skulls on.)

I really like Halo, and I admire your determination to satisfy our whiny community. :)

If you could fix those few things, I'm sure the community would love you even more. :D.

Three-time legendary member on a single account

weapon changes that are fixable:

+br spread- remove it. i don't like games that don't involve skill.
+sword and hammer delay after a switch- remove it. it makes the weapons useless and only makes ppl more prone to camping. ppl just switch to it then hide around corners, rather than having ppl move knowing that they can switch to a weapon and actually use it.

playlist changes:

+more BR starts. its not fun going one and done every life.
+remove AR secondary from BR starts, and add pistol secondary. stops respawned scrubs from easy spawn-venging, yet adds a decent back up close range weapon when dual weld.
+remove objectives from lone wolves. By definition, Lone Wolves are in it for their own kills.
+remove -blam!- shotty snipers. between radar and shotties, theres no skill involved.
+remove pistol secondary and motion sensor from sniper games. again, completely defeats the purpose of the gametype. add beam as secondary or no secondary. i love h2 sniper games cuz they were balanced towards actual sniping. sniping was too easy, but the games were still competitive. now its just garbage i veto immediately.
+no more high ground in TS. it doesnt work. due to the layout, it's about random encounters rather than strategy or individual skill, making it terrible for straight slayer.

map changes

+more br pickups around maps. after 6 or so kills, u have to hunt for more ammo. not fun cuz its not a power weapon, just a competent weapon.
+remove most of the explodables from the smaller maps. whereas they help balance areas on big maps (last resort cat for example), they promote hiding and completely giving away positions in arena maps. u either get caught by the camper reticule on the cores waiting for u, or u give away ur spot by preemptively shooting the canisters. win/win for joe camper.
+revamp covie variants to not be ghost infestations. if we wanted a ghosts only playlist, we'd tell u, not play big team. actually, this is a big reason ppl don't play bt ranked. covie maps arent fun on sandtrap.

Please try to fix the BR spread because sometimes it is annoying as F*** and really pisses me off among others. Also I think I agree with most people that there should be a Team Snipers Playlist. Bring back the melee from Halo 2 where a running melee was better than a standing melee and a jumping melee was the strongest, more realistic. If yall were to take one thing from this, make it the BR spread.

I have had an idea for a while, I think it would be great if in your settings like appearence, ect. you would have a "prefered maps" and "prefered gametypes" so you can rate maps you like and gametypes (like team BRS, Shotty Snipes, ect.) and when you start matchmaking, you see your favorite gametypes and maps more often, and the ones you don't like, less.

-And I like the idea of voting for a map instead of vetoing, but instead of Y, X, and B and stuff, just go left or right and select the one you want.
-Playlist for bungie fav/other community created maps+gametypes.
-Firebomb grenades.
-FX options on all the maps.
-Snap function for objects. HUGE pain to make something perfectly level
-A permanent lock for all objects option. Stays still no matter what. Like the teleporter glitch.
-I personally would like a no-scope medal and instead of "you sniped 1337F4gg0T" be "you no-scoped 1337F4gg0T" I know it might be hard to do but still.
-a different medal for spike grenades, and a "you spiked" not "you stuck"
-I would like to see NEW types of equiptment.
-Instead of having Overshields and Camo turn on when you pick it up, I would like to see the camo and OS as equiptment like in campaign. So you can use it when you want to
-Social infection playlist
-Radar Jammer back in.
-(Not sure how to put this in words) I also would like in my saved maps to be the matchmaking version of that map in there along with the original, and for it to automataclly update. Like on narrows, instead of 2 mauler there's 1 on each side. So I can practice on those in my customs so I don't have to download them after playing them. Hard playing the MM version and practicing with the original.
-sniper playlist
-dedicated servers
-The ability for people NOT to quit in the middle of a game. (Only in Team Doubles and 1v1)
-90 degree turning of objects in Forge
-Elites start with covonent equivient of weapon spawn: BR start spartan, Carbine start Elite. And optiong in game type to change on or off.
-The 100 Custom Content limit removed, or at least increased to a reasonable number like, say, 500 or 1000.
-I like the idea to lower your weapon on live and a one button way to do it.
-Non-break-offable turrets like in Halo 2.

"-playing as a flood combat form in infection would make a lot more sense than only having different colors
-more varieties of warthog
-real clans in halo 3
-ability to make custom vehicles for clans ex. a warthog in clan colors with clan emblem. that would be sick"-elitemastersam- AGREED


-Auto mute-kids-that-are-screaming: 20 MORE MINUTES MOM!!!!!! lol jk :P

Hey, i have a idea that would be really worth doing. As you may or may not know there are alot of Zombie enthusiests (such as myself) who liked halo's storyline for the Flood especially. I recently read on the terminals at Acsendent Justice.com and i was so intrigued by the real history of halo ( a good hint for your next game a prequel/sequel type thing) and when i saw you guys are asking the community of how to improve on halo 3, i thought of infection maps and the Flood. Alot of people didnt really like Isolation, the topography made no sense, but the flood affects where really cool. Ihave downloaded modded maps of isolation from bungie and i thought why dont you guys make 1 or 2 more flood maps, like from the level cortana. here are some other ideas:

-make actual flood AI for multiplayer ( i dont knwo how the codes and whatnot work so i doubt that will be possable) because think how awsome it would be for people to make the scariest , creepiest infection maps, complete with AI spawn points for forge where you can either battle them and your buddies or team up to combat the threat (flood applies to normal kill count). Not only that but if a flood kills you your body actually turns into a combat form...SCARY!

- make 2 new flood maps from the campaign missions floodgate and cortana, including new forge options for it, such as a Filter with the spore things in the air, infected walls, and even AI spawn points (if the AI thing is a go)

-We all love a good scare, thats why alot of halo fans are infection map makers like me, so why cant we dial up the scariness and have the maps be dark, and with those horrible howling noises. along with things that just pop out!

Im begging you guys to consider what i ask, because i have been striving to make a pant- craping, horrafying, loss of all bodily functions, going from male to female, kinda map. and if you guys grant this request i asure you you will have made a horror-hungry community very, very happy.

deffinatley add more specific ranked FFA playlist, i would really help in getting achievements.
I am a major fan of the elite armor perms, and have most of them, but it would be nice to get the asthetic head. I feel i have the skill, and i probably would get the achievement a lot easier if there were more sword games going on. ill play ranked FFA for 4 hours straight and probably get a swords map once... =/

auto lock with rockets needs to die. If I am aiming I dont want my reticule flying 30 feet away cause of some idiot on my team in a mongoose chase or something. Spawn system. BR Spread. Please Bungie if at all possible make your OWN ranking system. Last I really really really really really reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllyyyyy know H3 needs ForgeGlue.

Also as an avid forger I would like to take this chance to speak for the whole of the forging community, and say that if ForgeGlue was added it would not only be very wuch appreciated, but it would open up billions of doors for millions of great new maps. I think I also speak on the Forging community's behalf when I say that, a new flat-ground map that is open area & outdoors would be great. If that were done some really popular ideas many people have had are:

Scenery placement(ex: Trees, shrubs, hills, etc.)

dummy placement (like modded/hacked/glitched/lagged maps with clones.)

no budget or object limit (hey Im being a voice I know you have adressed this, albiet lag isnt the best argument, as last I checked most people dont like having there 360 freeze.)

no limtations on item placement(ex: carbine on sandtrap. Or computer on most maps.)

placement of transport hog(soooo... many possibilities... but not even remotely close to as important as ForgeGlue.)

Now this one is close to as important as ForgeGlue but it requires the outdoor flat-ground, etc. map. NO LIMITS!!! As in remember when people would get out of Terminal in H2 and scale all of the buildings. well bot surprisingly people loved that. but now we cant do that in h3. So theres an Idea. Perhaps even just make it ridiculously huge boundries.

Ex: Containment length x Containment length x Containment length.

One other idea is environment objects. (Just like FX, but perhaps to avoid initial lag, from all the skinning have it load the new environment next time the map is loaded, including in forge, customs, etc... oh, wait...)

Ok sorry for the uber long post I think this is the last major idea. Building placement. Any of you folk at Bungie ever play a rather fun* game called Pariah?
(* I know campaign is and its mapmaker had loads of potential so I would think its multiplayer would be too, because the gameplay style is more or less same as campaign and for that matter Halo... O_o)

Ok seriously this is the last one. Bullet customization. Ok now I challenge you Bungie I challenge you to find out whether or not at least one of your employees has played on a modded H2 map. to be specific Relic with the Stairway to Heaven (Cue in catchy guitar music now) style thing going on. (Using the super grav lift sniper thing. which is another object we would love to have.) Or some maps it was an obsticle course, and others it was, Abandon ship! Make it to the shore or you die... }; )p Some of the most fun I ever had in H2 was through that. The rest was on ASCENSION!!! WOOT WOOT!!!

I think you should only spawn with a BR in Team BRs. I think it would make more sense because of the name an also the players will now spawn with a different weapon instead of the AR all the time.

Add a legitimate touch return for CTF. At the moment instant flag return has like a 15 foot radius around the flag. Example: Someone drops the flag bottom middle on Isolation, I return it from top middle. That just doesn't work and makes the next best option for competitive CTF a 3 second return time which still has a large radius. Just make it how it was in Halo 2. Also fixing the BR spread so that all 3 bullets hit the same spot would increase the amount of BR battles won by skill rather than luck.

If it's possible, 3 of each grenade, but not at startup, you have to pick them up. So to simplify it, a 3 grenade capacity. 3 frags, 3 plasmas, 3 spikes.

Also it would be cool to have the Arbiter in MM

1) Instead of having one veto, have a map veto and a gametype veto.
-Dont weight more popular maps (the only reason I say this is because I hade a sieres of about 10 games where nearly all were The Pit), if they are truel more popular then they theoritically should get vetoed, that is what the veto is for. Just as less popular maps will get vetoed if they are ess popular. Many people seem to over look this.
2) Foundary is ENTIRELY editable... lets see what Bungie can do. Make another foundary map for matchmaking.
3) In slayer Br's repalce AR start with SMG start, especially on smaller maps. The AR is to powerful against the BR in small levels.
4) Fix turret on heat maps. Turret kills are in the EXACT same place causing heat maps become very skewed if you have just a few kills with the turret.
5) Have a status bar so you can tell if you are closer to leveling up or down after each game. I know that the ranking system compiles multiple games but it is slightly frustrating to go down after being the MVP.
Overall Halo 3 is excellent!

-I hate the splater system. its so bad and there is no consistancy. I dont get how you can hit someone but if they jump on top of you they get splatered.
-A less powerful melee. I think that since its a FPS that melee shouldnt be so powerful, its just a crutch for poor shooting ability.
-A bigger reticule for the ar so its less accurate at mid range on full auto
-No swords in lone wolves.
-Better tracking on the missle pod.
- making the stick grenades equal to the plasma greandes.
- get rid of the shield doors on snowbound. I think that it would be a great level then.
- Please bring back maulers on gaudian
- two more BRs or carbines on gurdian and blackout so there are more in avalible
