Loki 343 is my xbl name. ADD me, I'm up for any game, and I love talkin' about Halo on the headset! LOL I have, from favorite to least favorite; PGR2, Rainbow Six, Links 2004, Splinter Cell PT, Return to Wolfenstein, Counter Strike, Crimson Skies, and Amped 2.
Halo 2 Theory: We will have a LOT of players in a game. I've been saying saying this for months, but now with the new beginning I think somebody might actually listen. Halo 2 has been held back a couple of times...say what you will, it's been held back. If you buy a computer one month, the next you're mad about the new stuff out that's better. SOOOOO, with the NEW XBOX Live! coming out, the NEW technology being used on it, the leaps and bounds that computer science makes, we can deduce the speed at which XBL 3.0 will compress and send information. I'm thinkin' 32 players a game. That's just me, mind you. If they are using every ounce of power in the xbox, they shouldn't have a problem doing this. Keep in mind I know nothing about computer programming....other than making it go BEEP by gettin' into QBasic. But if they can narrow it down to information like: where you are in relation to others, where they are pointing, what they are holding/throwing/shooting, and all the basic geometry that that includes, and compressing that seemingly basic code, that's not a lot of bandwidth. Correct me if I'm wrong you computer guys out there. If you aren't a computer guy, be glad and revel in your ignorance, rejoice in my pure speculation!
