Sorry, you brought in the first moron.

Good luck with that.

Not my fault your logic is flawed.

Well its not mine either.

Then it's your fault that you didn't put it through the "shut up" filter before posting it on this forum. Unless your brain is lacking said filter; in that case I let idiots deal with idiots.

Isna 'Nosolee, my Sangheili name.

Well, I for one dont think a super accurate battle rifle took any skill. It just made getting kills with it so easy...

um, i think you have things backwards. Halo 2's battle rifle is ridiculously powerful, and the sniper is alot easier to use. Not to mention BXB/BXB those just make the game ridiculous and takes much less skill then halo 3

Yes, yes that would be true...except from the LITTLE fact that the OTHER players you play against ALSO have those. How thick-headed are you people? Would Halo 3 require less skill if they added more Auto-aim?

If we would listen to everyone one of you who actually belives you can "rate" the "skill" needed to master a game, Halo 2 would be hardest, by far. Why? Well, as this gentleman said. The OTHER players (yes, you actually play against OTHER living creatures, omg? Yeah.), the other players have a "ridiculously powerful" BR in their hands, the have an "easy to kill with" sniper, and not to mention all of those 1hitKO button glitches.

See what i just did? I just added another number to your cute little equation.

You guys don't even seem to remeber that you actually play against OTHERS in MP. Sure, in campaign, Halo 2 is a sleepwalk, but this seems to be pretty MP focused. Whatever "overpowered" move/weapon you give to the "player", every other "player" else also gets.

So tell me now, how does Halo 2, that offers you enemies with: Great aim, overpowered weapons, button glitches, and ever other stupid thing you've metioned about H2, how does THOSE enemies require less skill to kill?

And i'm not even picking a side, i'm just telling you how much math you would have to do before you could actually come to the correct answer. What I think is that this topic is filled with people who suck at Halo 3 (me here), versus people who suck at Halo 2, and they aaaall want to have it confirmed that their skills are the "best".

How sad isn't that? Let's just say Halo CE requires most skill, would that make you shut up?

~SjL~

Sniping in halo 2 was a complete joke...scroll sniping...strafe sniping...w/e. Battlerifles were more powerful but to a point it was a joke to call it talent to kill with. BR's in halo 3 take more precision shots to get a kill and tactics to keep the other player from getting away. Im not gonna lie when i say i loved halo 2 way more but halo 3 takes more talent to outplay others legitly. Pure Fact.

If you create topics like this you can't argue like a fanboy. its unknowledgable and makes you seem ignorant. You need case and point facts.

Case and Point-BXR n BXB made melee battles a breeze. There was no"Melee Battling" in halo 2. Just button glitching for a 1 second kill. Someone has a shotgun in halo 2..You just laugh and bxr him. Halo 3 you resort to tactical battle strategies, no rushing, grenade throws and shooting.

Battle rifle+Sword in halo 2 and you were set for the match, In halo 3 you can't even lunge before your weapons prep'd.

Your aguements are purely based on fanboy like rant material as is everyone elses. I still wish Halo 2 was popular though.

The fact that every player has the same advantages doesn't affect the amount of skill needed to play the game. A player who fires upon an enemy with equal advantages doesn't necessarily change the amount of skill needed to kill that person.

Players start with the SMG by default and not the BR. This is easily resolved with your average BR starts. This may seem trivial, but why wasn't the BR made default by Bungie? Bungie made players walk around the map to pick up a BR since they didn't start with it.

You need to pick up and control the power weapons before the other opponents can get to them. Since weapons don't respawn by default, if you have rockets, the sword, sniper, or any other power weapon, your opponent is at a loss of not having them. If each team realizes this and has an equal chance of obtaining the power weapons, that's fair, but is it really balanced or skill-based to get rocked by a Sword-carrying noob when all you have is an SMG? Thinking smart and holding onto the power weapons take skill, but not the part when you rocket players that start without the BR.

Now, add BR starts, and that rectifies some issues, but it doesn't change the fact that power weapons don't respawn by default and how the combination of auto-aim, large hit boxes, and absurd melee lunges makes wielding an Energy Sword, a shotgun, or rocket launcher less challenging.

It definitely takes skill to play H2, but I would have to say there are far more challenging multiplayer shooters.

That's not what I said. I just said that it's incorrect to say that Halo 2 is easier becuase the weapons are more OP and you have glitches. When you guys talk it's almost like you seem to forget that there is player on the other side who will use the exact same tricks as you.

Sure there is...if you can mesure "skill" between different games that is.

Yes, there are plenty of other flaws to acknowledge. :D

I don't, but there's no need to.Posted by: Maxe3

Yes, we all realize it's extremely subjective and difficult to gauge, but it's possible with a decent criteria.

Phoenix is dead, long live Phoenix!
Is it?

Then instead of just saying that x takes more more skill than y, why don't we create a scaling system?

United We Forge Great group great people.
Owners of the Katana 1000 GS and you're in!
LOL

Also, the really skilled players can pull off button combos well which in my opinion hard hard to do in game..
