Paid servers, especially major clan servers have a lower ping than the Bungie servers, on average. That's why it's good to get with a clan every once and a while.

I'm not a total fan of the Bungie servers, anyway. The playlist on others is better, and sometimes I just want to play BG for a few hours. Don't go to the EU servers, though. They'll give you a high ping because of the fact that they're across the water.

Hi everyone,

below is an answer I got back after emailing Bungie about the status of the servers - helpful I thought - LOL

OK, I gave them a kick. Unfortunately, I cannot check them at the moment, so please let me know if they are up. Maybe you could check the US ones for me also.

Actually, you're the one that asked what everyone here 'does for their country' and called us a bunch of fat asses. You might want to edit that post...

Yes, I sit on my ass all day. I take honors classes in high school. I run cross country and track, running twice daily, morning and afternoon. I play bass in a few bands. I have a job, a volunteer one, in fact. Yes, the fact is I sit on my arse and do nothing for my country.

Seriously, the fact is that I have access to a computer at school, so I can post at lunch if I want, and have one at home. I'm sure since I do the above, I have loads of time for stuff, huh? Tell me, what's the difference between doing something for your country and contributing to it? They seem to have the same goal and the same purpose.

Man, stop judging people without even knowing them. From my standpoint as a high school student, I do a lot, and at least have a volunteer job helping old people and bringing them a shimmer of hope. That's more giving to the world than most people's jobs.

As Mr B said, you'll probably find your niche in the Halo 2 forums.

Heyyo,

Don't ever diss davis. He's one of the majors of the HaloPC forums and that blacklisting was probably a hate-crime cause the forum moddies don't like how we don't like those $box "holier than thou" buggers.

Now, Mr B is also a bigtime forum goer. How he got blacklisted too is beyond me. This forum's not quite "user-friendly" as we would've hoped for.

I woudln't be amazed if I was next to get blacklisted. Each of us popular forum goers seem to be getting turns. ;)
