Yes, but there is also a fine line about what science can prove and what it can't. Science can't prove how Lazerus was raised from the dead by Jesus Christ after he had been dead for days, and can't prove that there is no God.
I am a Catholic myself, and believe that yes there can be a scientificaly proven answer for some things, but other things need no answer. We have our beliefs, and even if we are told one day that there is no such thing as God or the Soul, most of us will not believe it. Scientist are not able to prove everything with a theory or a hyptothesis, since they really don't have any idea what really happened. Only those who were there when Jesus Christ perfrormed his miracles, or when Moses stood on Mount Sinai are able to prove what really happened. To get to my point is that, science can prove many things, but when it comes to changing mine and other people's beliefs, we will not believe it. Catholics have their own faith, so do Buddhists and the Native peoples, but in the end we all must have the hope and faith that their is someone watching down on us, and that person is God.
