I'm not sure if this is any proof or not, but on the third (3rd for those of you who don't "do" letters) page of the Halo 2 screenshots in the first (1st) column third (3rd) row down there is a screenshot of Mr. MC all by his lonesome in red. If you take the time to notice, you'll see that his knee and the rest of his leg looks a bit scuffed up. Now, I don't know if that's merely decoration, but that's the only screeny I've noticed it on without any squinting.

Well, maybe i heard wrong, I remember seeing 1 actual picture on bungie.net, I believe, that shown damage on MC's left hand when he was holding a rocket launcher, i think it was,... anyway, one of my friends saw this photo and said that the armor can be torn off with enough impact in one region. P.S. ATHF IS the best show ever, I heard they are making a movie, if you know any of this, and have a web site about the movie, reply.

On second thought, I looked at a lot of the other screenies, and it appears as though it is very subtle yet very appropriate decoration that comes standard on all MC's. And it makes plenty of sense to do such a thing.

If you notice in one of the screen shots when you see MC holding an ES you see that he hand has some chipped paint. Now im not saying this means his armor can be damaged but I think that, as a visual effect, he man look less "new" as he battles. I mean, what would MCs armor being damaged acomplish?

Nice visual effect, it would be awesome to dual wield two smg's, and demolish your opponent, watching his armor crumble.
