Nice website, man.

You should get in touch with Frankie if you want a piece of the Bungie update pie. His username here is simply "Frankie," that should'nt be hard to find.

A couple things you need to be aware of, though. It's a Bungie update, not a Halo 2 update. If you're hoping "yours will be the update about single player" or that some such, abandon all hope. That's not what the updates are about.

Second, Bungie Updates suck bandwidth like a blackhole. Many of the servers that have had updates posted had gone down shortly thereafter. You'd best have a very, very strong connection.

Thanks a lot Shishka, I'm a staff member like Captain X.

I've PMed Frankie a few times about this. We didn't get a response, so we decided to try this route.

The subject of the update means nothing to us really, we just really want to host an update, regardless of its contents.

I guess we'll just try PMing him some more...unless you think he'll start getting irritated...?

I imagine he gets a lot of requests from anyone that gets their hands on webspace. Be patient. =)

Hey I am Henzy. I am also from the HaloHQ staff. If we did get this update at HaloHQ, we would appreciate it alot. Our community is great and our members get along great. We are closing in on 3000 members. HaloHQ has been around since Fall of 2003. We have a HaloPC, Halo Xbox, and Halo 2 section along with some other "off-topic" sections at the forums. Adding this update would make HaloHQ, even more of a "head quarters" since we would have more updates. :D

Thanks in advance.

Well, I might as well get in on the action.

Hi, I'm Nova, one of the Global Moderators at HaloHq.

Yes, we would be interested in hosting an Halo 2 related update information. Our website's server is plenty fast and powerful. Staff member Henzy and I host multiple videos off of it and some of our HaloPC modders have thier maps and mods mirrored on our webspace. Our two Admins can tell you much more about the server, well actually servers strength. (We have the Primary HaloHq server and a backup server that runs another website of one of our Admins, but also shares some of the workload) We have close to 3000 members, with at least half that number very active. A few thousand hits wouldn't put a dent in the bandwidth I don't think. Many times have the Admins told me we barely use upa fraction of HaloHq's bandwidth running day to day operations.

As to the response, we have a Halo 2 section on the fourms, managed entirely by one of our other Global Moderators "Caveman" and multiple Staff Members and Halo 2 Moderators. Our members would be very much aprrective of some new Halo 2 content.

As to how we handle trouble makers, our five senior staff (2 Admins, 3 Global Mods) police the fourms regularly and without mercy. There are no flame wars, no disputes and petty little annoyances. It is a close knit freindly community that is quickly growing bigger and stronger.

We'd be delighted to host an update for Bungie and all of the Halo fans out there.

Hello. I am the third Global Moderator at www.halohq.org. It is a tight, clean, and well kept community with many active members and staff dedicated to Halo. The site is impressive, as much so as the community itself. It is the best community I have been a part of an is very deserving and capable or handling an update system. As for attempting to get inside Halo 2 news ect, that is not our goal. Although, if it was presented to us, we would be more than happy to take it, we are aiming to host an update that will enhance the quaility of the community. Any further information and direction on getting an update system would be very much appriciated. Thank you for your time.

Shishka, is there anyway we can actually get Frankie's attention, because these forums just get slammed, and threads get lost in the sea of well...threads. =P

I don't see why you couldn't just come to this site every Friday and then take the link to the update... I understand that having the update might draw people to your sight, which is cool, but still. You could probably send a message to Frankie and he could tell you how, or he could talk to somebody about it in Bungie. He writes the update, so I assume he could get it on your site if you asked and he wanted to.
