In Halo 1 you could do many neat things in the game. If you've seen the video of the guy using grenades to launch the Warthogs you know what I mean. Warthog fighs were always a good time. Rocket fights on Bording Action were nice. What were some of your creative things?

Dominating with the Scorpion at the top of the hill on Blood Gulch was my first. It got popular after a while though.

My best thing was winning a game of Slayer against 7 other people. In team Slayer.

I meant creative things, not multiplayer antics.

Flood pets.
Shoot their arms off without killing them and you've got a disgusting entourage. See how many you can accrue.

Was also possible to see the name of the Wraith in the game. Took some doing.

Finally got a Banshee plot to kill himself via a tree in "Halo." Tried sniping his feet for a long time.
Empty Banshee was not useable.

Lulz. Nice one.

I snipe every Wraith pilot before they get in their vehicles. I also prevent pilots from Entering Banshees every chance I get.

I wouldn't post that link Chicken, it'll get you banned.

I always liked capturing grunts as pets in Campaign.

What difficulty do you "capture" the Grunts in?

Member of the most storied groups on Bungie.net; Last Refuge and KOTOR

I managed to make a marine body land on a pelican that was taking off.

I had a blast messin' around with my Flood Buddies™ (as mentioned by Msadlon). Probably the most difficult thing, for me, was trying to get a couple of 'em into the elevator on The Maw.

Getting out of the map by getting on the wing of an overturned banshee and using a rocket launcher to shoot the other wing and the bottom wing will throw you out. And also you can get out of maps or into lock doors by driving a ghost sideways and geting out right before you hit the door/invisible barrier and the ghost will hit you through the door without doing any damage.

I heard that if you move backwards while throwing grenades at the beginning of AOTCC, you stay in the Pelican and get to see some new portions of the scenery.

Tried it, didn't seem to work.

Anyone else succeed ?

Sometimes when I look at the moon at night, my mind embraces the thought of a love so vivid and true that I almost believe it is real. Then, due to my delusions, I am forced back into reality and begin to indulge myself in real life vices such as chocolates and German board games to get that once natural high.

Giving each marine a story and keeping 'em alive.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

I managed to get in the Wraith at the end of Assault on the Control Room once. It showed me how to shoot and all, I didn't bother reading it. Simultaneously I had to pause and go to Costco with the family so I didn't get to actually control it. I've never managed to repeat that, and I have no idea what I did to get into it to begin with. So many years ago...

I remember seeing a video of a person somehow killing a wraith driver and being left with an empty wraith. He then went about flipping it over and over (It kept flipping really high and just landed back upside down). So I think it may actually be possible to drive one in Halo 1. If you can flip it, what else could you do. I never managed to do this.

After so many tried I managed to kill both Elites before they jumped in the Banshees on that snowy bridge towards the end of 'Assault on the Control Room'. Then I used one of them to travel up the Control room and parked it there for later use.

One other thing that took AAAAAGGGGGEEESSSS to do was on the same level (I think), where the Grunts are asleep and some Elites are walking around. I managed to sneak around and kill them all without alerting any of them. Tricky stuff.

: )

Yes, overturning an empty Wraith allows you to flip it/see its name in the game.
But there seems to be no way of driving it, much like an unscripted empty Banshee.
I once got (glitch) trapped inside of the Wraith at the beginning of the T&R interior sequence.
Hunters couldn't hurt me, but I couldn't get out.

Neo has officially been promoted to barf cleaner-upper and pukee hair holder.
I am honored to have that position. While your barfing I can steal your wallets!

It's creepy enough that people stalk Bungie via Webcams, but it's even worse how they stalk back.

I liked beating down hunters by letting them charge at me then moving to the side and beating the crap out of their backs

Also having a dozen marines follow you around on AOTCR, if you keep them all alive you can have your own army and are pretty much unstopable
